I've been wanting to create an animation featuring Juno for a while but never quite knew what direction to take. This project turned out to be the perfect opportunity to bring her to life. Initially, I had plans to add more variation to Juno's movements, but my animation layers were uncooperative, and after a while, I decided to move forward with what I had.
IMPROVEMENTS
I feel like my understanding of animation is starting to solidify. Compared to my earlier works, where movements often felt floaty and lacked impact, this animation shows notable progress. Juno's descent in this piece feels impactful, which I’m proud of, considering I had no clue how to achieve that effect just a few months ago.
I also picked up a handy trick for handling overshoots in animations. Setting your curve handles to "automatic" by default creates natural overshoots, and when you don’t want them, you can switch to "auto clamped" for tighter control. It's a small tweak, but it makes a big difference in the overall workflow!
Also, shoutout to RadRoach for the help!
