By the way, with these retro characters, I'm trying to at least not be too far from the original. I know it's not exactly like it, but it's a decent shot.

Oh, talk about the old classic. In the early 90's this was one of the most popular shows in Japan, matching up even the likes of Dragon Ball, but weirdly it was the case only in Japan, and the series never spread outside of Japan, unlike the likes of Dragon Ball, etc.
