To add more context about Dany not taking Xaro’s marriage proposal as it’s only mentioned in the books. Part of Qarth’s marriage tradition is the partner is able to ask for 1 thing the other partner has and they must give it no questions asked. For Dany it’s obviously ships but for Xaro there’s a chance he could ask for a dragon and she’d have to give one to him.
