And if something works - better not touch it (current skz songs and popularity) I'm sure they follow this strategy also. There are millions of other reasons why he gives the skz guys more lines instead of himself

He's insanely talented but he loves to let his kids shine instead/honestly he is very self depreciating and won't accept compliments but he deserves them all.

2024-08-09 21:48:32 +0000 UTCalso the thing with chan is he makes most of the guides for songs meaning he records most of the songs himself on his own and then hands them over to the members with his voice as a guide to how the song is supposed to be sung, so some of the most insanely hard high notes in skz song were sung by him first and it makes sense, thw guy was a trainee for 7 years, he is jyp's golden child, he is an ace himself; if you pay attention you'll notice his vocals have like a special moment in maniac, cover me and blind spot for example but many times he records something and then have vocalracha or han or lee know do it to let them shine, the definition of a father istg-

2024-08-09 21:37:18 +0000 UTCas a chan biased person, i think there are so many layers to who chan really is and every role he has to play and not in a bad way, but like i believe sometimes he makes music like this mainly for himself and for someone as selfless as he is, always putting himself last, i believe the few moments he gives himself to sing and compose for his own voice and style (imo his style is very unique for kpop, a bit more western, a bit more raw in vocals and all) are really rare and precious to see. idk him personally but i thank him for this song

Not to say that Han isn’t an ace too, but there is nothing that Chan isn’t good at as an idol. His voice is my favorite: always stable, clear, with a wide range and a wonderful tone. I love his lazy rap style. He’s a really good dancer, an amazing vocalist, the best leader, probably one of the best producers, an awesome human being, and last but not least, he is sooooooo handsome

In a Channie's Room, Bang Chan said that the song is not about the member who lleft them a month before a comeback, but because of the timing I think it is. He, like everyone else, was hurt and making that song is his way of expressing himself. I don't want to bring up the past, but it's good to understand the context of the song and how bad the kids went through. That's why "I hate to admit" is very special and at the same time very sad. On the other hand, Bang Chan's voice is super special and he is very talented just like everyone else. He has other solo songs like "Eternity", "Connected", or Day6 covers like "Zombie", "I'll try (노력해볼게요)".

2024-08-09 16:42:54 +0000 UTCFrom my interpretation The person broke the promise they made and the protagonist (Chan) doesn’t want to admit or accept what they did to him The love he still have for them makes him want them to stay and not go anywhere because he doesn’t want to accept the reality but because that person broke the promise they can’t be together because it’s too late. The promise has already been broken. It’s like a break up where you don’t wanna let go because you love them so much and refuse to admit what they did which was clearly unexpected but holding on to them hurts even more.
