That said, I'm pretty sure I saw that this was written specifically in regards to growing up and the side effects of becoming an adult when you aren't one fully yet. Very deep, and yet a universal experience. Also, I think Chan said his hair is too fine to keep bleaching a bunch. Not sure if he can do it again, or just needed to quit for a while though.

Struggling against doubts and trying to stay true to their original goals as those around them try to change them into the "Kpop" success mold. It likely is Chan's story as he fought to keep JYPs promise to let them do it their way. The mental battle determining when to follow their advice and when to stand up because they wanted to do something "different". They had more control than anyone else since they were writing their own music and telling their own story...but they also were inexperienced and not really successful at this point. The young adult mental battle with growing up and taking risks versus following the flow. The "side effects" of every decision and making decisions are nervousness, headaches, confusion, insomnia, nausea, weight loss....etc. I am sure every member fought with "did I make the right decision to go this route with Bang Chan". And ironically another side effects was Woojin who decided unilaterally to leave so there must have been internal fights about decisions being made. This is the last album Woojin was on. I am glad Chan stayed true to himself and fought respectfully for their vision. I am glad they are getting the success they deserve. The side effects now is that they make so many people smile and can face life with a better outlook.
