I love the kinky commentary, it's really entertaining and funny! I think this time with the context of the song it just bit you in the ass, especially since you don't speak Japanese and already tend to focus on the beats instead of the lyrics. Maybe something you could implement in the future is making the video a little longer and going through a lyric video to compare the context of the song to your initial interpretation of the music video? Could be fun!

This song is essentially saying hey look despite everything I’ve had to go through I’ve finally made it. For the future I know that you speak Korean but maybe turning on captions would help you make sure you’re listening to the lyrics more? Just a suggestion so if you don’t want to or you don’t think it would help then no problem!

It's sad they had to go through so much at such a young age, and it gives us a small insight into what it's like.

A lot of the time I'll watch an MV or listen to a song and feel one way, only to then check the lyrics and realise how different the meaning is - Silent Cry is a perfect example! If it helps, before a comeback happens, SKZ usually release a video talking about the album concept (at least, they did for 5 Star https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNPgj-ZJql8 and Rockstar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KadR_q5rSg) just for future reference they're really interesting to watch, even if you dont post a reaction. It preps you so you go into the song understanding what its supposed to be about (I dont think they did one for Social Path unfortunately)

As you said, "I am here to learn", one thing about Stray Kids' music is you have to pay attention to the lyrics. 3Racha (& the rest of Stray Kids) puts in a lot of effect on their lyrics (Whether is fun or serious kind). All their korean MVs are with English Subtitles. Only their Japanese MVs don't. But Stay has the lyrics videos uploaded. Also their Videos (the SKZ-Replay/Player/B-sides) does come with passage on what the song means in the video description. Also Stays do have pretty accurate interpretion of their lyrics in the comments (and some confirmed by Stray kids themselves), you just have to look for it. 😉 I do believe if you re-watch their videos with the lyrics, you will understand Stray Kids even more. Your comments are funny as hell! So don't worry about. Keep doing what you are doing and have fun!

Social Path's MV has been used by many STAY for sexy edits, everything from what you've discussed, to outfits, fanfics, and beyond. Kim Novv's approach to directing his MV's is "you feel like you can touch it, but you can't have it." The color blue represents warmth in his art, and there's not a lot of blue in the Social Path MV. He also directed Red Lights, and there are many visual parallels. In the Special Interview, I.N stated that the music video is "opposite" of the music, Hyunjin described it as "dark" and a "thriller", LiSA referred to the part with Felix touching under his chin as "sexy", and STAY are still pointing out how in the choreo Felix "walks the other members like a dog" (literally the viral sound with it on Tik Tok). These things, and the hands of the anonymous people trying to put their hands on Lee Know, could very much be interpreted as kinky. Kinky doesn't always mean good though, it could be a violation/lack of boundaries. Don't even get me started on the people that just got in trouble to selling/buying Stray Kid's freshly-worn clothes from the SLBS event. I look in the mirror, it’s only me” I think refers to how he felt at the time. Chan has previously talked about how dark of a time it was for him and has even said that if it weren’t for Stray Kids he might not be alive anymore.

You should really check them out! What I like doing when checking out music is watching a lyric video to understand what the song is about as im introduced to it, and then check out the mv. It also allows me to really focus on both the song itself and the video without overwhelming myself with both simultaneously. You don't have to of course, but that's what I like doing. 😊

So my first personal interpretation of the mv was a little different from his. I can understand him not needing the subtitles for the mvs, because the man DOES speak Korean ( but I sure don't!😆)! And when he figured out it was Japanese, he kept going and gave an honest reaction... But what I REALLY love is that he paid attention to the comments, and then took action to understand and fix his "mistake". And this is why, as you said, it's worth paying for this!!! I truly love watching you react bc of your enthusiasm and sense of humor, but it's also nice to see you look a little deeper. Honestly most SKZ songs seem to be written in a way that people can derive the meaning that relates the most to them, but they turn out to be incredibly deep when analyzed/explained. Anyone who wants to get to know SKZ really needs to understand that. They are beautiful/hot and talented performers, but every single one of them is also special/deep/multifaceted to the core. ❤️

About the music video, I read somewhere that this MV shows their fears/insecurities.. Like Felix overthinks, I.N I think it was afraid of being ignored, Hyunjin loneliness, Seungmin smal spaces.. I don't remember all.. And at the end they save Chan from the paperbag people etc.. it's a very interesting story. Sorry I don't remember all!

2024-04-19 17:24:18 +0000 UTCNo worries but part of what skz is doing with there songs is every one has a message they talk to stay in their lyrics. Not a repeating hook or chorus. There is a lot Korean puns and meaning that is Korean culture based and you have to double check the translation because some stays clean up what's actually being said. I still haven't found a good translation beyond what comes from their own content sites you tube. Sometimes waiting a month for subtitles. I'm actually hoping you will eventually do something like this catch the puns and explain correct translation as best as you may think our boys are saying!!!
