Better late than never! Please vote on the charity you would like a portion of July's funds to be donated to.

This month's theme is.... fighting cancer! Many of us have experienced the indescribable pain of seeing a loved one (or some of you yourself) suffer and sometimes leave us due to their battle with cancer. My heart goes out to all of you and I hope we can help make a difference in the lives of those affected by it. Please check out each nonprofit below before voting! A financial donation will be made to the winning charity, and a gift will be purchased from second place's organization.

American Childhood Cancer Organization - one of the nation’s largest, grassroots organizations dedicated to making the lives of children and families suffering from this disease and its long-term side effects easier, even as we work towards giving these children the benefit of one more miracle cure.

Breast Cancer Research Foundation - For every dollar spent, 91 cents is committed to tackling this disease. That means more answers, faster breakthroughs and treatment personalized for every patient. Research is improving care, producing better outcomes and transforming lives—every day.

Stupid Cancer - Comprehensively addressing young adult cancer through advocacy, research, support, outreach, awareness, mobile health, and social media, Stupid Cancer proudly supports a global network of patients, survivors, caregivers, providers, and advocates.

LiveStrong - Providing direct services to anyone affected by cancer; connecting people and communities with the services they need; and calling for state, national and world leaders to help fight this disease.

Cancer Support Community - The largest professionally led nonprofit network of cancer support worldwide, the Cancer Support Community (CSC), including its Gilda’s Club affiliates, is dedicated to ensuring that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.

After watching what my Grandfather and Mother both went through in their respective battles (they both lost) I can say with certainty that any of these would be a good choice.

Childhood cancers were always the ones to pull on my heartstrings the most. That's why I always volunteer in the Be the Match organization as they aim to cure childhood leukemias (cancer of the blood). So I'm glad this is the theme of this month! Keep up the amazing world changing efforts Jackaloo!

I saw a little girl yesterday, maybe 3 years old, completely bald except a few patches of hair that presumably hadn't fallen off yet. It broke my heart. I'm going to have to go with ACCO.
