All I have is Google Translate to help me, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm sometimes screwing things up! Even though Olivia speaks many languages fluently, she's a native French speaker and prefers conversing in it. When she speaks to MC, she mixes French in with English for 3 reasons: 1) She's slowly teaching him French this way so she can hopefully relax at some point in the future and just use her native tongue with him. 2) She doesn't give a shit if he sometimes has to struggle to understand her. 3) Even though she's a genius, even she sometimes forgets and just uses the most familiar word or phrase.
