Greetings! Et voila, here's some concept art of what Blade's room might look like... The door on the far back wall is the door that leads into his commander office (or technically, the flow is that the back of his commander office leads into this room), the door beside that leads into his (surprisingly large) private bathroom, and there there's a set of double doors (blanked out) leading to the other part of the suite, which is part of the reason why people call his bedroom his "monk's cell," because it initially looks so narrow and sparse. I think it's absolutely hilarious how well the artist walked the line between "depressingly barren" and "oddly cozy" with this room... We really tried to stress the military ruthlessness of Blade's habits and how his room is completely utilitarian as well as almost rigidly neat LOL. Look at his pillows!!! They look like fucking bricks lmao!!! Unlike Trouble and Chase's rooms, you can tell how "un-lived in" Blade's room is, it has me rolling for some reason 🤣

The other part of the suite contains Blade's mini-work area, which is primarily where he sharpens and maintains his weapons, answers correspondence while he "relaxes," or prepares his private cup of morning tea or khav in the mornings. The bare wooden area next to that is where he practices his forms and exercises and works out before dawn as part of his exercise routine. And as Commander, because he lives on the first floor, he has a small private porch and adjoining tiny courtyard attached to his rooms, but he hardly ever uses them... I'm not even sure he remembers that they're there sometimes...

There are a lot of character details concealed in this room, but unfortunately Blade would hide them so well that they're not immediately apparent to the na*ked eye! (...I had to spell it that way because Patreon just popped up with a warning that they think my post is about p*rn and they're going to have to review it before publishing... Sorry, Patreon. All you're going to get is some anime-haired dude's boring bachelor bedroom. And not even in the fun way! Nothing to see here, this place is the last place you'd find X-rated stuff...)

Anyway, you can start to deduce exactly where Blade might have hidden emergency weapons, LOL. Does he ACTUALLY read that many books (pretty much all philosophy, history, or poetry), or did he just place that shelf there because it would be easy to strap a knife under? Why is his bed so low to the ground? (So assassins can't hide under it...) Even the doors are sliding so that hinges can't be oiled to be silent! There's even a large hidden recess under the floorboards of his training area, though what's actually under there might surprise you...

Anyway, that's his room for now! Do you think Blademancer MC would move in here, or would Blade be forced to undertake renovations? XD I hope you enjoy, and please look forward to Tallys's room next! ⚔️
