π€ Adventure Time! π€
Added 2023-06-11 21:31:36 +0000 UTCHey there! π
To be able to consistently release my models monthly I have decided to make a change to my Patreon's system!
Now we will embark on an exciting adventure together for a TREASURE HUNT!
To make my monthly releases more engaging and to give you all the ability to choose the theme for each and every month, I am changing the tiers in this way, starting in JULY. In JUNE you still get a full JUNE release in the next 2 weeks!
I will already update the tiers and unlock the new tier to let you switch before the next month if you want to be part of the lower one. However, for those who join my Patreon this month, the β¬1 tier will have no reward for JUNE, only the sale!! For those who are already subscribed, it would only change the amount you pay from JULY, as intended.
[NEW TIER] β¬1: Treasure Seeker (includes a treasure chest filled with a monthly set of models) -> This is the basic tier that offers only the monthly chest!
[CURRENT early bird β¬3 tier & full β¬5 tier] become β¬3: Treasure Hunter (monthly release, monthly adventure, throwback folder and voting for the next throwback, as well as a permanent 20% discount on my store and a 50% discount on new releases + bonus loyalty models for continuous support.)
HOW WILL IT WORK?
Each month, your Treasure Chest awaits, carefully chosen by your fellow adventurers during the last month.
This is the monthly release.
And with a Treasure Map in hand, embark on a quest to discover future treasure chests. Each month, you have the chance to find a common, uncommon, rare, epic or legendary treasure.
All β¬3+ patrons will be able to choose how the adventure unfolds, follow a digital treasure map and "dig out" the chest that will become the next month's release! You will choose a region where to embark on a treasure hunt (which will determine the theme of the release), and based on the choices made by the majority of adventures, the next monthly release can be of a random rarity - common, uncommon, rare, epic or even legendary.
Participation is purely voluntary and is provided for your entertainment. You can also choose not to participate and you will still get all of the rewards discovered by your fellow adventures delivered straight to your MMF library (apart from the throwback folder which will be provided as a link to Google Drive)! π
Uncover an Ancient Treasure, buried underneath the distant lands for a monthly throwback. Gather your party and cast your votes to determine the next month's quest for the long-lost treasures!
This represents a throwback folder consisting of different models each month and based on the voting on which items you want to see most.
The Hero Shop offers a warm welcome to all treasure hunters. Enjoy a 20% discount on supplies for your adventures and an exclusive 50% discount on new arrivals.
This is a reference to my MyMiniFactory discounts.
And as a token of our appreciation, every three months all treasure hunters will receive an exclusive Furniture model as a gift from our Store.
And this is the loyalty program!
With the growing support of our Patreon subscribers, the number of monthly STLs expands, and the adventure becomes more detailed for even more fun without any change in price. Unleash your imagination and let the adventure unfold!
The current contents of the potential treasures:
- COMMON: 3-5 scatter models.
- UNCOMMON: 5-6 scatter models.
- RARE: 1 furniture model (pre-assembled).
- EPIC: 1 modular furniture (consisting of several parts).
- LEGENDARY: 1 interactive piece of furniture (consisting of several parts).
All treasures include a variation of a treasure chest of that rarity!
Please note the change in the number of models that comes from the change in price from β¬5 (non-early bird standard tier) to β¬1. This amount of monthly models will be increasing with the increase in the number of patrons with the price staying the same!
The adventure begins in JULY!
If you like the updated β¬3 tier, I would be more than happy if you stayed in it, but if you want the monthly release to be more accessible to you, you are welcome to switch to the β¬1 tier ππ
Comments
My hope is that lowering the tiers to this amount and actually being able to consistently release something each month will attract more and more people, and I will finally start getting back to earning enough money from Patreon π And hence also the idea of "levelling up" the monthly chests, slowly increasing the number of models offered each month. The more I earn, the more time I can actually spend on making the models, because up until now it was around $2 per hour of work time π
2023-06-12 22:54:18 +0000 UTCAh, no, everyone will receive the same set each month. It's just this set can be of a different "rarity" depending on the winning choices in votes of the previous month :) Yes, I will be separating all themes into smaller sets, and will prepare a big "world map" that contains all possible themes that I can do. So we will be returning to similar themes to get more items of the set depending on how popular the theme turns out to be :) I wouldn't have changed the tiers if I didn't start my job. But I had to get a regular job in addition to patreon because my earnings from selling models and people subscribing have dropped significantly over the past year, so I had to find another way to pay the monthly bills π That's why I initially switched to smaller sets. But what I didn't expect is that I would be working so much overtime and come home exhausted at around 8-9 pm every day, so by the time I was done making and having dinner, I was literally falling asleep on the couch π Which made me completely unable to finish releases in time, even working the whole weekends nonstop. I will be already asking them to switch my hours, at least, so that I work more Mo-Thu and have Friday free, so that I have at least one day a week I can properly rest. And that's also why I had to lower the tiers once again, so that I can actually manage to complete the monthly releases on time π
2023-06-12 22:50:38 +0000 UTCNo worries, it's just easier to keep track of models through MMF, which is a selfish request on my end. I don't mind smaller sets of models either, or lighter months. In fact, I think for the price of the tiers, the stuff we do get is really unique and high quality. If the system you came up with only determines what will be worked on, then no problem, I was just afraid there was going to be some sort of random/gacha thing that would be mean that everyone received different models every month. Do you have any insight on how this will work for things that might require larger sets to pull of, like the cafe set that was voted for, would you release them little by little over several months? Just curious. It is a little concerning to have the tiers change so much in a short amount of time, but honestly I was happy paying $10/month so $3/month doesn't leave much room for complaint.
2023-06-12 21:52:27 +0000 UTCAs for the throwbacks, I can't offer whole sets for throwbacks, so I will be putting many different models in each month. Other artists don't have this many models to offer, so they can easily just attach a few of the old object listings to the rewards for the month, without creating a new listing each time. There is currently no way to divide things into folders on MMF, and if for every regular release I will have another listing next to it with a throwback, it would be impossible to me to navigate through my store already after a few months π If there is any other way of providing files that is similar to the MMF redeem feature but that wouldn't clutter my store with that many listings, I would gladly explore it :)
2023-06-12 20:19:03 +0000 UTCAs you already noticed, I started separating themes into smaller sets. But instead of always making the same amount of models that take me the same amount of time to make, I want to have it more of a little game that will basically determine how much time I will spend working on the next month's release. And that will be defined by successes during the little adventure mini-posts where everyone will be voting on which step they want to take next in the monthly adventure. If the result turns out to be a regular chest, I will make the standard amount of models. If it's uncommon, I will make more. And if it's rare/epic or legendary, I will be making furniture. It takes a LOOOOOOOOT of time to make interactive models, so I put them in the legendary chests. Modular models also take a long while, so they go into epic ones. It wouldn't be possible for me to make interactive models each release as I need to carefully make every single interactive part and make sure they would work properly, as even a tiny piece that is sticking out can make the model a failed one π That's why almost no one makes interactive pieces, because it's just so much easier to make a solid piece without any extra parts, and they still get the same money for much much less effort put into it π
2023-06-12 20:14:03 +0000 UTCThis is a little confusing for me. Does this mean we won't be getting all models every month and the ones we get will be random? Also, I second MMF for throwback and hope you reconsider.
2023-06-12 20:05:22 +0000 UTCMMF needs to fix that then they are still working on their website I could see how it would get complicated though if you have to do all of that

2023-06-12 09:20:18 +0000 UTCThe problem with sharing it on MMF is that Iβd have to create a separate listing for each month, which would be forever stuck in my store library making it very hard to navigate for me :(
2023-06-12 05:33:58 +0000 UTCPlease share the throwback on MMF as it's a great backup tool π

2023-06-12 01:57:26 +0000 UTCI have a gut feeling about this, but I will give it three months or so to see how it goes.
