💜 First Painting Contest – Create Your Mini-Scene!

I'm excited to announce the first painting contest!
There will be 2 categories, depending on your skill of painting, and a lot of winning places!

You will have 3 months to create a mini-scene using any of my models, on any theme you want! You can also submit any of your works with my models that you have already finished. And you can also paint models printed for you by someone else. It's important not to use any character miniatures though, as they will switch the focus from the scenery to them :)

I hope you will have plenty of time to complete any project you want to work on, and the ease of painting furniture/scenery would motivate many of you to try competing in it. I have included a lot of prizes, and every participant will also receive an exclusive miniature that I will make for this contest!

PRIZES:
ASPIRING ARTIST:

1️⃣🥇 Request a furniture/scatter model for my new set or a variation of any existing or new model + $50 gift card for my store + 3 months of Patreon.

2️⃣🥈 Request a scatter model for my new set or a model variation + $30 gift card for my store + 2 months of Patreon.

3️⃣🥉 Request a model variation + $20 gift card + 1 month of Patreon.

If there is more than 1 person qualifying for the same place, both of them will get the prize, but there will only be one first place.

NOVICE:

1️⃣🥇 Request a model variation + 3 months of Patreon.

2️⃣🥈 $20 gift card + 2 months of Patreon.

3️⃣🥉 $10 gift card + 1 month of Patreon.

COMMUNITY AWARDS:
🏆 1 month of Patreon (chosen among the rest of participants by voting).

NOTES:
🔹 Requested model should not be interactive or modular, as doing those would significantly increase the amount of time needed for them.

🔹 Requested models can be done for any of my future sets, it doesn't have to be the next release, but it needs to fit the themes I will be working on, since the final model will be added to that release.

🔹 Requested variation can be done for models of my past releases or for any of my upcoming releases. The variation shouldn't make it a completely different model, you can refer to any of my previously made variants of models for comparison.

GIFT CARDS
Can be redeemed for either models or commercial license:
🔹 $20-$30 for 1 month of commercial license, $50 for 2 months,

🔹 or for the items you select on MMF from my store, where the total amount would be around the gift card value (i.e. the $10 gift card can be used to buy anything that is priced up to $12.99). 

🔹 The gift card is not combinable with other promotions and discounts on MMF, it is based on the default price of models, without VAT or tax, of course.

🔹 If you want to redeem your gift card at a later date, you will receive it as a digital image which you can save for a later use or transfer to another person as a gift.

CONTEST RULES:

🔹 To be eligible for participation, you need to be my patron (of the regular, Treasure Chest tier) for at least 1 month during the contest period (October-December).

🔹 You don't have to have a 3D printer to participate, you can also do so by painting models printed by your friends or one of my official merchants.

🔹 You can submit more than 1 entry, but you can only receive 1 prize.

🔹 You can also submit any of your works with my models that you have already finished. But for the future contests you won't be able to submit scenes that have already participated in it before.

🔹 To submit an entry, please post the images of your scene in any 3D printing community (reddit, facebook, discord, etc.) mentioning that the models came from me, and attach a screenshot of it to your entry. People need to see the beauty you are going to make :D

🔹 Please attach the screenshot of your post together with your patreon name and photos of your scene in your email here: darkestdesire3d@gmail.com, mentioning the category you are submitting for.

🔹 Submissions begin on October, 1st and last until December, 15th, with winners being announced around Christmas. Get yourself an additional Christmas gift by choosing to participate in this contest 🎁😀

SUBMITTING AN ENTRY:

🔹 All models for your scene must be painted by yourself.

🔹 You can use any of my models to create your scene, and even add a bit of the models done by other artists, as long as they are not character models.

🔹 The models you use shouldn't be modified, but kitbashing is alright as long as you also use unmodified models for it. So the models in a way they were released. You can scale them as much as you like to adjust their sizes to fit your theme perfectly.

🔹 To submit an entry, you need to take at least 3 photos of your scene from different angles. Photo quality counts, especially if you don't provide close-ups to show off the details. Photos with extremely low quality will not be evaluated.

🔹 If you edit the photos to change the way they look (apart from minor changes like saturation, contrast, etc.) then you should provide both versions (before and after editing), to make sure no major detail of the painting technique has been changed and no overpainting has been done in the software.

The judges for the contest are still to be determined, but you can also apply to be one as long as you are not participating in the contest yourself.
