It's this kind of fanart, like Life is Strange (sensual fanart), Naruto (epic fanart), Steven Universe (cute fanart). It'll be TOO away from NSFW xD Maybe in the future, when I'll be more free from big need to get money x) For now I have to focus on work

I think it would be nice to see the characters you really like regardless. You shouldn't be locked into doing only NSFW content all the time. I have a feeling they would be really great drawings.

I'll get chars among popular ones that are on my taste, yes x) But I won't be able to get my really favorite characters, they will not fit to NSFW pictures. So I prefer to have art of my favorite chars from other artists. And I work only in my genre (NSFW) and for this genre audience.

I think this is a pretty good compromise. People will still get an opportunity to have their personal characters on the poll but at the same time you get more opportunity to create more fan art. Myself I'm not really a fan of original characters of fellow patrons as I have no vested interest in them. The artwork that results is really good, honestly it is ultimately forgettable to most people other than the character's owner. Just wondering though; Is it your intention to draw more currently popular characters (FOTM's) or characters that you're simply more interested in?

Lera (and Devillip), if you want to draw your favorite characters, feel free to draw as many as you want to. You asked for thoughts on these changes, and I gave you mine. I cannot claim to speak for other people, or even know if I'm the only one with this opinion. But all I can say is that I feel that this change brings your patreon one step closer to being a boring, uninteractive, mainstream one like Sakimi-chan's. So just to be clear- I am disappointed that one of the two polls, the primary way for patreons to interact with Lera's art, is being removed. And no, I think it's perfectly normal to think that way? If I see a store selling oatmeal cookies and all the proceeds go to charity, do I have to buy the cookies even if I don't like them? If someone is selling something that I have no interest in, why do I have to buy it? There's still other ways to support them like sharing it on social media. Art/patreon are the same- if I am not interested in what is being offered, I have no obligation to buy into it, right?

You forgot one thing, Atelier. MOST of people WANT to see their favorite characters. NOT ME. I'm, like a fan of helltaker, really like to see stuff from artists, it's really cool. And can know how people are about the same kind of stuff. I got a desire as creator artist to give it to other people, what I get from other artists too - fun seeing favorite character. And I still will draw OCs from polls. And.. do you realize how you say, you sound not really cool? "I want people to give me money for something I want to do". What it was in the end of all? Don't you think it sound really not nice from your side?

I also assumed that whichever one was removed, it wouldn't affect the outcome. At the end of the day, there's still going to be one poll that allows OCs x'D And Lera allowing OCs on polls is one of the things that make her patreon unique- I don't know any other artists who does that without treating it as a commission. It's also the main reason why I will support her, instead of the artists who only draw the waifu of the month. I have no incentive to support those people who basically say "give me money to do whatever I want." And with this change, I feel Lera's patreon is heading in that direction. I had hoped that Lera would've at least replaced one of the polls with her original "vote on my ideas" poll instead of getting rid of one poll entirely. But those are just my thoughts~

We didn't mention which poll is gonna be removed, you assumed it by yourself. About drawing popular characters with expense from patreon - mention ANY artist who even allow people to suggest their OCs on polls.. if you tell me 3 names, I'll say that you're at least half right in here.. most artists don't even let people vote or anything, they just draw what they want, Lol.. As I always say, everytime you complain about something we decided to do - if you are not satisfied, just leave.. we don't force anyone do do anything. The beauty about patreon is the fact that we have freedom to do what we want, the difference is that we alwayd tell our supports, about the changes we gonna do.

That's a fair point, not everyone wants OC's. But... I think your solution would have no affect on anything. If I understand correctly, you're removing the lewd poll (the one with no OCs) and keeping the pin up poll (the one with OCs). Assuming OCs continue to win in that poll, there's going to be no difference. And even if an OC doesn't win, there's still a large amount of OC content from Lera's sketch raffles and commissions. If Lera really wants to cut down on OC content, she should be addressing where those OC's are really coming from- and I don't think it's the once-a-month pinup picture xD My main concern was Lera's desire to do more mainstream, popular characters at the expense of this patreon. Yes, doing popular fanart is a great way to get new followers, but I don't believe in doing so by cutting down on patron benefits. She could've done less raffles (maybe once every other week) or cut down on content on her other patreon.

We are changing because most of the chars who win polls are OCs, and basically, this is why we oppened stream comms, for people to pay a lower price and get pics with their OCs. Lately, Lera is drawing only OCs, and 90% of the people want to see other characters. We are just trying to find a way to satisfy everyone, even if we need to change some things.

Hmmm, I don't want to be that guy, but isn't the reason that Lera doesn't have enough time to draw popular characters come from her doing raffles on weekends and having to devote time to her other patreon? I'm not a big fan of this change, given that this patreon started with 3 polls but got cut down to 2, and now it's being reduced again to 1. And if I remember correctly, the poll that was cut first was the one with Lera's ideas. I prefer patreons with more patron interaction, and I feel this change is moving away from that direction. Then again, there's always people who are unhappy with change and I'm probably just one of them. I wish you good luck in that this change will help with keeping new people.
