Addressing the racist tweets from 2016

As some of you have probably seen yourself, critics of mine love to post screencaps of tweets I made in angry outbursts about 7 years ago. One in which I post a racial slur at a Morrocan holocaust denier, and others in which I posted a racial slur at a Pakistani Islamist. I have addressed these tweets before, in fact, even apologized for them publicly in 2017. But that doesn't matter. The truth of the matter is that I have nobody to blame for these but myself, and they will be coming up again in the future. That's just a fact of my social media presence. And it will continue to be a fact of my social media presence.

There is however a decision that I have made regarding these. I will from now on refuse to address them. The only people who consistently bring them up are communists and Islamists, other political extremists, or people who are just bitter that I have a large following. It is always in the context of "don't watch his video because *screencap of 7-year-old tweet*" or "His recent video is bad/wrong because *Screencap of 7-year-old tweet*" And one thing that particularly disgusts me is when some ideologue grifter approaches me with the screencaps and insists that I have to apologize to them personally on their Livestream or something.

I used to constantly remind people that I know these tweets were wrong, and that I apologized for them. But I am now sick of doing so. An angry outburst on Twitter from 7 years ago does not define who I am, what my character is, and what my personality is. And frankly, it is despicable that there are people who think you can frame an entire person's character around a tweet. I have consequently grown tired and frustrated of people who bring these screencaps up in a dishonest way. I have to assume from now on that anyone who brings these up as a critique of me, without mentioning that they are 7 years old, or without mentioning that I apologized for them 7 years ago, is deliberately acting out of bad faith with the intention of poisoning the well.

You should know: Yes, the screencaps a real. Yes, I made these tweets. Yes, these tweets are bad. Yes, I am sorry for them. And it matters to me that you know that.

But I will not have this be used by people with nefarious intentions to try and get me to bend the knee in front of their internet ego.
