A Mexican solution to a problem

Hey guys. As you know I am working on the Turkey video. The research on it is completed, I am making the video, and am about half way finished. Also, I started the research for the China and Congo videos.

But there is a little something that came up. A friend of mine found themselves in a little bit of financial trouble. And I offered to help them out. My friend is a Spanish speaker, so I made them the following offer:

I make a 15-20 minute video about Mexico, it's economic and political struggle with the USA, it's trouble integrating itself economically, it's history of instability, migration from central America to the U.S, and the Drug war and its consequences. And my friend translates the script into Spanish. So I upload an English video, and the next day I upload a Spanish version of the video. My friend would do the translation, I will record it, and I will pay my friend for the translation out of my own pockets.

Of course, only the English speaking video would be monetized on Patreon. The Spanish speaking video wouldn't be posted and monetized on Patreon since I wouldn't ask you to pay for the same video twice.

Would you guys be ok with this? If so, I can finish the Mexico video shortly after the Turkey video as the research and books on that is pretty much already done (it's a topic I read into a lot) And then I would go straight back to the American lense and China and Congo videos.

I am asking you, as you guys usually vote on the next video.

Tbh, it would be great if your content was available in several languages to reach more people. They are extremely well researched documentaries that have a huge potential to help others and have a buterfly effect on the topics your covering.

I agree -- more reach for the channel will always be a good thing. If the spanish translation works out well, hopefully more people can enjoy Kraut's content.

I can't imagine who could possibly object or for what reason, but one thing I would request is that you update us as to the response to the Spanish form of the video (including analytics). I might be alone in this, but would be curious as to the uptake.
