Why no ads?

I have seen a couple of comments under recent videos, praising me for not placing ads on my videos. I need to correct you, I do place ads on my videos. I always put one ad on every video I make. But never more, because I wouldn't watch a video cluttered to the brink with half a dozen ads, so I won't do that to you. Thing is though, that almost all my videos get pushed into limited ad status or are demonetized by youtube. This, of course, is because of the adpocalypse. And there is nothing I can really do about that. Youtube demonetizes every video that is about any controversial topic. And that can be anything from war, to gay rights, to civil rights, to politics and so forth. I know there are ways to get around the restrictions, but I have not found the time how and I even don't know if I would if I could. Because I don't like the idea of self-censoring myself to appease a bot. And in some instances, I don't know if it is possible. In future videos, we will be covering topics such as the Armenian genocide, Japanese war crimes, American covert CIA interventions in South America, the vicious conflicts for resources in Africa, the brutal partition of India and more topics for which there simply is no nice way of talking about them. I don't want to make a video in which I try to find euphemisms for words like "genocide", "mass murder", "ethnic cleansing", "war", "racism" and other, just so I can get adverts on my videos. In fact, finding euphemisms for such important topics seems far more gross to me. Because there is no nice way to talk about something horrible. And when I talk about something horrible, yet important I believe one should stick to the facts and not veer off into absurdities, euphemisms, and jokes for the sake of getting money.

So you might get an ad pop up in a future video, but I guess it will be dependant on how controversial the topic is. I prefer running my channel on donations by viewers over that. And since many topics I cover are controversial, there won't be many ads.

I'm a bot who likes facts, words, classical music, and countryballs. I am appeased by this channel.

It may not be obvious, but I believe that is partly the key to the loyalty and support of your patrons - I have no interest in supporting an anodyne, crowd pleasing, bot pleasing, 'safe' documentary, I would imagine that others feel the same. I for one will not shy away from telling you if I feel you are veering away from blunt analysis.
