Oktoberfest Jessie! (New Frames & Progress Update)

Dressed in one of the few dirndls in Scotland, Jessie's here to wish everyone a very happy Oktoberfest! This is one of several additional frames we've drawn for the upcoming polishing patch!

While I can't yet give an exact date when the polishing patch will be ready for release, it's not far off now! We've made a huge amount of progress on our list of things to improve, which is growing shorter and shorter every day. Here's some more detail on what we've accomplished so far, for those who want to know:

Marion's and Jessie's stories have been fully adapted to include the most recent sprites and improved choreography, bringing the quality of the earlier chapters up to the standards of later chapters. I'm wrapping up doing the same with Grace's story now!

On the asset end, all Scenes and EndCards have been reviewed and touched up where needed! Over 50 Scenes and 24 EndCards were improved—especially our earlier artwork, which benefited from all that we've learned since then. We're working on the Frames now! We've also reviewed and reexported every single sprite in the game using a new sampling method that enhances sprite clarity. The characters have never looked better!

On the coding end, sprites are now tinted to match their backgrounds, and the backgrounds themselves no longer reset their animations when they pan. I've made a lot of other small improvements, which will be listed in more detail in the change log. A few sounds and songs have been enhanced on the audio end, too!

Once the edits are complete, we're excited to finish illustrating the bonus content that we've written! We think you'll enjoy the new feature we have in store for you!

And as for Rowan's, Chapter 1 is written and we'll switch over to coding and illustrating it as soon as this patch is complete. We can't wait to shift into full gear with Rowan's story!
