If you use the Itch.io App ( https://itch.io/app ) it will automatically download updates so you don't have to manually. Either way, your progress and saves are stored separately on your computer and will persist through updates. That said, sometimes new builds can cause old saves to become unstable, so we recommend people use the Chapter Navigation menu and the ctrl button to skip ahead to where you left off, to be on the safe side!
