The Breakdown: Toymaker editions

The Breakdown isn’t just about my creative perspective and process at the drawing board but, also I plan on using it as a was to keep you updated with all the ventures and mini detours I plan on taking as an artist that wants to do it all. In this cut of the break down I’ll going over my process as a toy maker in the making and all the creative avenues I’ll be taking along the way. But Im hoping to Pitch to you:

The Project: Wielding INX | Little Mages

So a few months back I was asked about my INX characters by a toy company I was working for and was told to pitch an idea. I would spend only a week formulating a doll concept and pitched immediately so I didn’t miss my chance and…. nothing came of it sadly. However, I wanted to make sure that this project wouldn’t stay nothing or remained in the dark.

Little mages- focusing on our task force girl group — Sora, Mel, Kia, Yani and Matcha — assisting Team SugarCube on their Quest . The original cast — Team SugarCube is another set of (5) on their quest to register their Inklins.

But I f i were to pitch this again to a company or someone looking for some comparisons, it’s like Pokémon and Lilo and stitch but, Food. For my 4kids watchers simply it’s similar to Fighting Foodons. I wanted a diverse set of girls focusing on a fun, magical adventure. Surrounded by creature, companions and purpose that highlights team work. The idea of being about to pickup and took on different titles and quest is something this series really focuses on. What surround this idea are the Inklins.

Inlkin or INX — Team Sugar cube specializes in Food inspired INX — so not all INX are food related — but there are food related INX. However we’ll be following their story in future updates, solo projects and toy sets. Now the mini Mages acts as an extra hand to what team SugarCube does but, as apprentices. Tackling the load, research and even be fashion consultings when the girls are in a crunch. With so many jobs, and task ( such as mages, sponsors, stylist, medical experts and etc) There’s room for so many story’s, characters and progress.

Now this isn’t a full lore dump (if you’re interested in a lore dump video — leave a comment below!) — my creative process has been a world building experience. Introducing other toy making venturers— like The plushie sets Ive starts, stickers, videos games, clothing and so much more. I’m looking forward to hear feedback and getting your opinion so far. I mean I’m also looking forward to sharing the other projects as well.
