The breakdown: Can you see it?!

If you had asked me to draw a background/Scenery work 5-7 Years ago, I’d always tired. Very ambitious artist I was, mainly because somethings would come naturally if i just applied myself. And for the most part, drawing for me feels like walking, once I feel comfortable, Im running!! Honestly, for a long time, it didn't click to me to do more scenery work or even practice. And there wasn’t any shame in my game baby, I wasn’t there.

Now that have the confidence to do it more often, I love drawing a story and telling one. I swore I saw this face in my curtains and defined it. As I started I couldn’t stop.

Honestly I let my mind wonder with this ones. There was no rhyme or reason to why this creature even exist. As I began I just started to ask my self questions, so that I can get as close as ai can to the reasonable image.

Development— Can I us this?

I’m torn between making this reference for Hey Caleb or Wisp to Rainbowland . I have (2) concepts I can use for both stories ( honestly what is stoping me to use them as canon Easter eggs).

But im thinking that they are falling stars. They’re reveal themselves only in times of damages, seek/barging/ Deal making or those that speak their language. Mainly used to guide you home, inform about your upcoming journey. Most reading aren’t not free, some rare gems are important to have for trade.

Each Crystal could represent a different Planet, or House in the zodiac. Inside if a fallen star is a Crystal/gem and there outside is a rock like shell that has protected them. Not easy to find— due to rarity that survive the landing, that they crash on the planet, how often falling stars occurs.

In case your Curious… the process

As a concept artist, the number (1) thing you much need to know is how to ask yourself Questions. I wonder what things would look like without outline ( texture).

Other questions I asked was :

• Should I add Moss?

• Texture Heavy?

• Clay or Rock?

• Is it raining?

Well, since it’s been a minute, I’ll use this core concept ( making this character a MIzzimickiamii universe concept character) and lean towards WTR and see how I can add it to the universe. Story wise for these characters so far fits great with the over all story Wisp to Rainbowland has — so work.
