Previously, I shared the designs for the extravagant enemy camp; now, here are the designs for the protagonist camp.
Please allow me the indulgence of bringing the Worshipson and Wildfire directly into the same universe, letting them go on adventures here together.
A simple summary: this is a group of rugged monkey warriors, all characterized by their brown hair and skin since they belong to the monkey tribe.
Protagonist Profiles:
沃爾鋅 (Worshipson) : A noble young man who travels to collect ancient books and study history. He is knowledgeable, gentle, and kind. Having seemingly severed ties with his original family, he carries an untold past. Now, he travels with Ah-Huo and Ah-Ban to explore and research history. (In reality, this is the Chairman reincarnated into this universe.)
鋅 = Zinc
火金 Huo Jin (Ah-Huo): The eldest of the monkey tribe siblings, known for his honesty, reliability, and steady demeanor. Once the monkey king who cared for all the monkey brothers on the mountain, he later followed and completely devoted himself to Worshipson, becoming his bodyguard. He shares a semi-master-servant, semi-romantic relationship with Worshipson. (Wildfire reincarnated.)
火 = Huo = fire.
金 = Jin = gold.
蠻銀 Ban Gin (Ah-Ban): The second brother, rough, arrogant, and brash. Initially, he had no respect for humans or other races. When he learned that his most trusted older brother, Ah-Huo, had sworn loyalty to a human boy, he was furious and constantly challenged and opposed Ah-Huo. However, upon meeting Worshipson, he fell in love at first sight. In front of Worshipson, he becomes shy and obedient. Since he also has feelings for Worshipson, he frequently competes with Ah-Huo for attention, blushing whenever he's in Worshipson's presence.
蠻 = Ban = brutal
銀 = Gin = silver
銅猿 Tong Yuan (Ah-Tong): The third brother, carefree, gullible, forgetful, and prone to getting lost. His kind nature makes him rarely angry. Once, he wandered down the mountain and got lost. While his brothers feared he might be in danger, he instead encountered a master who taught him sword techniques. Despite his simple demeanor and being easy to tease, Ah-Tong is a martial arts prodigy. When facing an enemy who fits his master's definition of "evil," he draws his blade and delivers justice, revealing astonishing strength. Currently, he travels alone in search of his elusive master.
銅=Tong=bronze
猿=Yuan=Monkey
Theo and Tetsu:
錫歐 Theo: One of the main protagonists, the crown prince of a magical kingdom. Although he has inherited immense magical power, he despises magic, believing it perpetuates privilege and inequality through bloodline monopolies. Choosing to escape his kingdom, Theo is fascinated by ancient advanced technology unearthed from across the world and dreams of rediscovering "Babylon," the legendary civilization of universal peace and prosperity.
錫=tin
鐵猴兒 Tetsu (Iron Monkey): The youngest, a cheerful, simple-minded, optimistic, and mischievous boy. A devoted admirer of his older brothers Ah-Huo and Ah-Man, Tetsu trains diligently in hopes of becoming as reliable as they are. As one of the main protagonists, Tetsu yearns for grand adventures. He adores Theo and humanity, deeply inspired by Theo's dreams of a better world. Though Tetsu often breaks Theo's equipment and angers him, he remains fiercely loyal, traveling with Theo to explore ancient ruins and search for remnants of lost civilizations.
鐵=Tetsu=Iron
Some Worldbuilding Details:
In this setting, the monkeyfolk (monkey tribe) have no parents. Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Iron are sworn brothers who were born on the same mountain.
This world includes beastfolk, with societal status determined by the strength of their magical energy (mana). The hierarchy is as follows: Gods and Demons > Humans > Beast tribe (e.g., wolf tribe, dragon tribe, lion tribe, frog tribe, fish tribe, etc.) > monkey tribe.
The monkey tribe are the lowest-ranking race because they live primitively in the wild, generally have low intelligence, and rely solely on brute strength.
Monkey tribe can only reproduce with humans. If, after mating, the monkey tribe's belly shows a mark, it means the offspring will be a monkey tribe. After five months, the mark disappears, and a natural miscarriage occurs. The newborn monkey will instead emerge from a random stone in the wild, growing up like a wild animal. If there is no mark on the belly after mating and the pregnancy proceeds to full term, the child born will always be human.
Since Monkey tribe are inherently wild, parentless beings, they can form small tribes but cannot establish a civilization.
In summary, the story alternates between Theo and Tetsu's adventures and Worshipson, Ah-Huo, and Ah-Ban's adventures, with the monkeyfolk taking the spotlight in battle scenes.
