SRT Gearbox : eclutch update
Added 2025-11-02 10:07:05 +0000 UTCThe automatic eClutch calibration caused more problems than it solved, so I’ve added a manual calibration procedure directly integrated into the main firmware!
No more flashing a different code, no need to open the Serial Monitor or type any commands.
Here’s how it works (once the new firmware is flashed):
Engage 3rd gear, press the lever into reverse, and plug in the gearbox → you are now in calibration mode!
Return to neutral, then shift to 3rd or 4th gear to decrease or increase the locked position.
Press the reverse switch to test the locked position.
Engage 1st gear to save the calibration and return to normal mode.
The firmware has been tested with PCB v1.3 (and newer) — this is Firmware RC5.
For PCB v1.2, I’ve updated the firmware (version RC2b) but haven’t been able to test it yet.
For reference, the automatic calibration still exists: engage 4th gear, press the reverse switch, and plug in the gearbox to activate it — but I haven’t reworked that feature yet.
That’s it! I hope this makes your life easier — and there are more improvements on the way.
As usual, the firmwares are available here:

Thanks. I was unable to calibrate with only the single sequential switch(V1.3). I got it working 100%, before this update. But just.....almost gave up! Best Shifter! BDH copied this...lol
