Hey Folks,
time to paint the last little element on the body of Lauka Vai, today we will paint the nmm sword together.
For me the detail of that little pointy sword is especially impressive, it really shows the development of plastic injection mold fantasy models over the past couple of years.
Remember how swords on your Warhammer model could be so thick that you had to shade the additional surface as if it would be a part of the blade or sand it down, you would have done anything for an elegant sword like this.. any sacrifice to the dark god that you could imagine... and today it's just part of your kit.
I said plastic injection mold "fantasy" models because in the scale modeling world there have been some really impressively detailed kits, like embedded brass-etched parts and hollow barrels for ages.
Anyways, we want to do justice to that sharp look, and also deliver a really sharp-looking NMM sword.
We are incorporating a little more saturated blue to the surfaces of the blade that are facing upwards to simulate a sky reflection, we are adding a bit of an orange-brown to the lower side to create the feeling of the ground being diffusely reflected.
Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for your support.
