PAINT-O-PALOOZA Announcement + Registration starting soon!

Dear Patreon Supporters,
the time has come to finally announce the date and some of the activities that both Ben and me have been busily planning in the background for our very first “PAINT-O-PALOOZA”. 

As this is indeed the first event of that kind that we are organizing we can tell you that we are very excited!

What is the Paint-O-Palooza?
Simply put, it is Ben & Matt´ s way of saying "Thank You!" to everyone who has been supporting us over the course of our Painting Careers. It is a real life meet up event for Miniature Painters and associated Artists.The Event is completely free of charge for everyone attending, meaning that both Ben and Matt will have to pay for all of this out of our own pockets. We want to stay as independent as possible and this is why we don´t want to invite any vendors to the meet up. We will ask some selected companies to send us some colors for the painting table, for giveaways and the speed painting, that´ s mostly it. The event is based on three pillars: Community, Competition and Learning. The simple main cause is to spend a great time with fellow painters from all around the Globe in a great environment.

Activities
There will be six main activities running throughout the day: The Miniature Exhibition, the Lectures, the Palooza Grail, the Fleischwolf Challenge, the Painting Table and the Miniaturschrottwichteln. The Event will be organized with the generous help of the Citadel Tavern that will also offer you an excellent Food and Drink service at a fair price.  Please understand that you can not bring any food and drinks from outside onto the premises. 

We will be revealing more information about the activities in the course of the next weeks. We hope that we can offer something for everyone and that our description will excite you about the Event.

Registration
The Registration website will go live on December 30st, 6 pm Berlin time. Please be quick as we have a limited availability... first come first served. A waiting list will be activated once all available tickets are gone. It is really important to only book your ticket if you are 100% sure that you will be able to attend the Paint-O-Palooza. Cancellation is possible up to 1 month before the event starts.

One ticket per Patreon Supporter. Please understand that only registered Supporters can attend the event due to the limited amount of tickets.

Please don´ t share this information with anyone outside of our small community as we have only a limited amount of tickets to give out. The tickets are absolutely free of charge for our supporters. However, you will have to organize your travel (flights, trains, buses, accommodation, food, etc.) by yourself.

A confirmation eMail will be send out once the registration has been completed. Due to security restraints of the venue, we only have a limited amount of tickets available. Please make sure to double check the date and only reserve your ticket if you can really make it to the event. We will work with the people responsible for the tavern to allow more people to attend the event in case the demand becomes overwhelmingly high. Thank you for your understanding!

Traveling to Berlin
Berlin has two operational Airports at the moment, Tegel (TXL in the North – West) and Schönefeld (SFX in the South).
Many European Airlines are flying in and out daily. 

Getting from the Airport to Spandau is very easy as the public transport is super efficient. The Ubahn (Yellow subterranean Metro), Sbahn (Red Urban-Suburban Rail), Regio (Regional Rail) and Busses run throughout the whole weekend. On weekdays, you will be fine as well, but have to switch to Night Busses after 1:15 am. You can find all the transportation information online at http://www.bvg.de/en . A fare usually costs somewhere around 3 EURO / 2 hours, one way. Make sure to check out the tourist and weekend cards aswell. You can switch between trains, buses and even ferry's freely.

Accommodation
We are trying to keep the group of participants at one particular area to ensure that the crowd won´t be too scattered across the city. This is why we have arranged special rates with the nearby Select Hotel Berlin Spiegelturm Novum Hotels and the IBIS Hotel. Please ask them for the "Paint-O-Palooza Special" while booking your stay. There are also budget options available at one of the numerous hostels. Make sure they are connected to the U7 or S Bahn Spandau.
