edit.... after tracing things out a day later...not only were my batteries dying but i think i was also overloading my disting mk4 and my moddemix and also accidentally knocked the gain up on one channel of my field kit so thing were all types of souped up

ironically?! last night i was playing around and "felt" i was able to get a fair amount of similar crunch out of my monotron delay with a set of dying batteries at the end of my mix chain before my compressor and 2 delays. keep those low voltage babies around! regardless your sounds are loads better than "my throw whatever at it and go" method ... i was just offering a slight suggestion from a coincidental crunch-fest experiment ... it really was a semi bob ross happy accident thing that things were so crunchy. i was not expecting that
