Also, I laughed when Oak said he zoned out when Mason mentioned Christopher Walken in ep 1 because apparently I did the same thing, I heard Mason mentioned an actor but I thought "I don't know who he is", I didn't realize he said Christopher Walken 😂💀

I love the discussion you guys had at the end, it was very interesting! I think Mason is right, the work they do is basically just to study them, so far I'm assuming this has something to do with mind control. In this case they see a normal number but it elicits fear in them. So maybe the idea is that you can control how people feel and maybe even what they do with some sort of mind programming. Like trigger words in hypnosis.

What's the reference?? Couldn't tell if it was a tough jab towards one of the guys haha

Under appreciated reply tbh

It's a good theory—the advantage of not having to remember work stress and keeping it from affecting your personal life. But that would only work if the body didn't have memory. I say this from personal experience—one job literally made me very VERY sick. No matter how much I tried to separate it mentally and avoid talking about work, if I was experiencing high stress at work, my body would still feel it outside of work in the form of illnesses. Of course, in this case, they don’t seem to be very stressed at work—just these occasional "what the heck is going on here" moments, haha

Magda Ch

I burst out laughing at 37 mins to the reaction to Answer's reply to Mason Quin and the Oak about remembering having a job like that once.

Apollo

I've been SO excited for you guys to dive into this one! I'm curious if/how your opinions about the severance procedure and its practical applications and ethics will change as you go along. Also, the quote from Pete episode 1 about the implant was: "bypassing the implant wasn't easy". They did not mention removal.

Calmality

you guys should check out Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year, it has Ranbir Kapoor in it and you would enjoy this side of the film genre and his acting.

Ahmad Zain

I hope you guys continue to do 2 episodes at a time. This is such a great show!

Fetid Moppet

Oak the way you'd pitch this to someone is "How'd you like to go into work, and suddenly it's 5pm and you get to go back home right away not even knowing that you did any work and get paid for it?"

Frederick

What do you guys think of the opening sequence and the score? It's just one of the many favorite things I love about this show. I predict by half way through season one you'll alll be humming along...

SeaShel

I’m sorry. Please try to enjoy each release equally. That’s 10 points off you have 90 points remaining. You are right though lol this was a delight

Seth Aasland

Wow I don’t know how but I somehow skipped over the 1st episode and started with episode 2 oh well I got the gist of what to expect in this show

Anthony Velasquez

Try to enjoy each Badd Medicine video equally👩🏽

Zimm

I absolutely LOVED your reactions and how confused you guys are! 😂 i can’t wait for the next episodes

Yazeed

This was awesome! I love hearing you guy work through theories like everyone else has!

If you would like to try your hand at refining some macrodata, you can do it here: https://lumon-industries.com/ I love that Answer persists in calling Helly "Heely" -- it makes me picture her rolling down the hallways on the wheels in her shoes 😂 To clarify for you guys - Petey said he was "reintegrated" -- he never said he "got the chip out." That's a conclusion you all came to among yourselves (easy to jump to that conclusion). All we know for certain from what Petey has said as of this episode is that he's been reintegrated, and he's suffering from "reintegration sickness," and he's the first to ever do it. He didn't say his sickness comes from severance--he says it came from reintegration. That's what the show has told us so far. You'll note that those on the managerial level goes by last names with courtesy titles: Mr. Milchick, Ms. Cobel, Mr. Graner. The severed MDR team goes by first names and a last initial - Irving B, Mark S, Helly R, Dylan G. This is not a spoiler - it's presented openly in both of these first two episodes. Just worth making it explicit. I so appreciate that all of you are focused on *everything* - and that you're all on board with what Dave said about every shot, every line, everything being meaningful, being a set-up for a pay-off down the road. I'm so psyched for you to continue this show!

Charity Konusser (the chonus)
