the red headed chick is the literal worst

Breezybaby

When this series came out i gave it a shot but i had to stop watching because Nayeon was making me too angry lol. I guess i'll give it another chance!

Hikka

Yeah but she still waited way too long after realizing what she did tbh

Jigglenuts3000

Thanks Conor Moriarty

Highly recommend Kingdom - a period piece with zombies

Bianca Zandra

Just a heads up. Korean names are surname then first name. So Lee and Park are surnames.

Bella H

Yesss ! Omg “Kingdom” is the reason Korean shows got more attention, it’s sooo good. I hope you guys check it out soon! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Cinthya

Goshhh i wish people recommended kingdom instead, AOUAD feels very juvenile and not because theyre teens, i think people were just hyped about it because there were a lack of zombie dramas around this time and people loved train to busan

Zee

This episode is phenomenal, it is the show proving it can stand on its own past the “figuring out” phase. I’m really glad you all brought up the fact they kept bringing up the classism and overall bullying. The show does a great job of encapsulating the fluctuation of morals when it comes to humanity and really turns it up a notch when we are dealing with children. I know I brought it up last ep so I won’t go on a tangent, but the writers are well versed in portraying not only the “clumsiness” of pre-teens, but also the subject of their undeveloped grasp on the value of life. And the bullying is a great way to show the audience that. In the midst of a zombie outbreak, children are worried about their crushes and whether or not they have friends or are popular—because that’s the thing, they don’t grasp that your life is worth more than the societal norms and expectations placed on children. So good. Great commentary on this one!

ysmay

The writer has been saying she's going to continue with it, even tho it's been a long while.... but I'm pretty sure the show isn't officially cancelled yet.

Ashley K

Yes, Please 2 Season of Kingdom next!

Mari

you make a good point jigglenuts3000

Conor Moriarty

Kingdom is better than All of Us Are Dead imo. Freaking LOVEDDD that show.

J Knight

"Kingdom" is another great Korean zombie show, you'd absolutely love it, it's basically these zombies but the setting is the dynasty era except the zombies have a unique factor to them like All Of Us Are Dead. It runs for two seasons and 1 movie, Ashin of the North, sadly the show is cancelled so the series ended on a cliffhanger but one of the main storylines kinda felt completed.

TheMilkMan

First two episodes, I genuinely thought Na-yeon was gonna have a turn around and actually become a better person but she doubled down and did one of the worst things I've seen a character do in the zombie genre, like we've seen bad people push others into zombies, but secretly infecting someone just so you can be right is next level evil. That actress is amazing, she made me feel sorry for her in Squid Game and here, she made us hate her, brilliant actress, everyone did a fantastic job during that scene. Off topic, I knew Oak was ripped but I didn't think he was THAT RIPPED, you look like a God of War character.

TheMilkMan

Nah even before, everyone understood what was going on and trying to stay level-headed, she was the only one tweaking out and yelling at ppl to do shit while she sits back and does nothing, the most she has done to help was to kick a stool. She thinks she’s above everyone, probably comes from a decently wealthy family. She was already infuriating but this just took it up to whole other level.

Jigglenuts3000

Yeah I take back what I said about Na-yeon, the pink shirt, the last episode. At first she was a scared defenseless girl who couldn’t keep her wits, but then became a monster of her own making. She deliberately murdered someone out of hate and jealousy. If she did it out of fear and because she thought he would turn and just wanted to speed up the process, there may be a redemption at hand (pun intended), but to do it from a pedestal of the perceived caste system looking down on him with hate, she deserves to get thrown to the wolves. However, she was innocent until she wasn’t. We do owe her that. I noticed the closeup on the rag as well, and Asian films typically don’t force your gaze without reason so am really interested what is going on with the teacher. Thanks for another great reaction!

Tyler James Kelly

Thats gotta be one of the most annoying and agonizing deaths to watch unfold. I was genuinely pissed off and felt some real hatred towards that girl. Great writing and awesome episode! I cannot wait for them to try to do the redemption arc and instead have her just killed abruptly and violently lol She has got to go!!!!

Matthew Glover

New show, love the first 2 episodes, excited for this one, LETS GOOOO

Steven W

IKR! They take a color that often intertwined with kindness, innocence, and sweetness and put it on evil people 😭 (it’s like when they make villains wear all white lol)

Moonchild

You guys should also watch #Alive. It’s a really great Korean zombie movie on Netflix.

BlueJean452

Really good episode. Well the EMT (idk the Korean equivalent, sorry!) changing kinda goes against my working theory from last time. He had no apparent "trigger" (reason to think he was gonna die) when he flipped. So unless that was a fluke for drama, it's back to the drawing board 🤔 EDIT: Or, we have to assume he was severely depressed and planning to off himself later. That'd be the only way he would fit the theory/reasoning that (feeling) certainty of death is the trigger. Idk. Maybe they explain his turning later on.

Bluhawke

I can’t imagine what the teacher went through; to have a murder happen right under her nose, exile a teenager, and then realize that sending a teen out there was against her morals so she leaves to try to set an example for the students as a teacher should. Sorry I suck at putting my thoughts into words but that scene, where she’s giving the final speech, hit hard.

Alex Eimers

That is true, but in her defense she probably didn't know what she was planning to do, let alone imagine that she was going to do that to Gyeong-su with her handkerchief. She looked pretty shocked when she saw her doing it to him.

Ashley K

I love Mason Quinn and Diamond Dave's passion for TWD lol

Katie Madsen

Why is it that the characters we hate are always in pink? First Umbridge and now Nayeon lol

JPho

literally 😭😭😭

maiya

Yes DD, there are answers for the fact that the bad white t-shirt guy got blood in his mouth and the guy in this episode with the blood on the hand. Also, this episode is such a punch, the conversation that we can have over this is huge and it stays with you. I don't remember a lot of things from this TV show but this episode is one I remember alright

Alexiani Gollarza

Pink sweater girl (idc about her name) gotta be one of the WORST characters to me, not in terms of writing or acting, nah both are fantastic… but the actions of her character is OOOOO INFURIATING. She might be one of my most hated character in any series.. which is insane considering there’s another character in here that is awful too lmao.

Jigglenuts3000

Yes that, couldve said something earlier like BRUHH

Jigglenuts3000

another great episode and reaction 🤌🏼 .. for a dubbed show it still makes you care for the characters , that's how good it is 👏🏻

Rob OnlyRoss

I'm sorry but if she saw her get the blood on the cloth, she should have outed her straight away.

Brooksie

ahaha yeah, we loved her in Squid Game, even cried for her, and here she is pure evil lmao. very good acting range.

Rena Unnie

Lee Yoo Mi is f..ing infuriating here. Opposite of her brief character in Squid Game Season 1, which shows how good she is. Bravo! But also F her character. Hahaha Virus infects through bite and blood entering an open wound, maybe not through blood getting in the mouth, I guess..and Teacher said it attacks your fear.

Mari

Idk why…but seeing everyone huddled in classrooms together/protecting themselves was eerily reminiscent of what you hear about kids doing here in the US when there is an active 🔫…really messed up.

Kaley

Such heartbreaking episode. Both Lee Yoo-mi and Ham Sung-Min gave great performances. That final whistle will haunt us forever...

Dylan Hearts

I think the reason why one person truns faster than the other also has to do with their mental state. I mean how afraid/angry they are. If I remember correctly the teacher said that it feeds on fear and anger triggers it.. And maybe along the way the virus mutated.

HikiFan

Yes 🙌🏻 Season 1 definitely! Not too sure about the other seasons tho.
