I think Knight does a really good job of paralleling the wandering through the wilderness reality of both medicine/mysticism. And I think you all had a brilliant reaction to the weight of the episode - and how hard it is to process this event for everyone. Alas, sad we're nearing the end.... [and yes, you all do look great!]

2025-02-26 08:42:16 +0000 UTCAmazing episode and reaction. I think we can’t forget the time period here…Tommy is as emotionally aware as he knows how to be as a person in the 1930s with severe ptsd. We see in season one that he doesn’t know how to really help Arthur. He says the exact things we are told NOT to say to suicidal people anymore “use a gun next time..”. Also with the medical community, we forget how far we’ve come in 100 years…1930s we didn’t have a lot to go off of, we were JUST barely figuring out how to keep people alive with the flu at that time..let alone TB. So Tommy not trusting the medicine and going to what he understands and sees as a higher power makes total sense.

Quick 4 seasons, a couple recognizable actors and historic characters, strong story, great visuals, good music. 🔥
