Anti-Cecil: the implant's existence is theoretically necessary, strategically debatable, and morally unacceptable all at once. His deployment of it was Hall of Fame stupidity. Cecil barely attempted to sincerely communicate with Mark before resorting to physical deterrent. Because Mark was reasonably upset and acting out. Because he doesn't trust Mark to be out of his control and reasonably upset. Because he "can't be the good guy and save the world", which is a worldview I personally despise(but that's beside the point). Mark didn't "go help his mass-murdering dad", he went to save billions of bug-people from meteors. Cecil being scared of an upset Mark isn't a valid reason for Mark to not be reasonably upset. Cecil withholding what he was doing with Sinclair and Darkwing from Mark and other heroes/the public is sketchy at best and wildly untrustworthy behavior either way. Cecil's a disrespectful ass. Anti-Mark: over-reacted by about 80%. He can't see the parts where Cecil might be and/or is right because his own personal trauma. Sinclair's Reanimen, created from volunteer corpses and used specifically to save lives, WOULD be an almost complete positive to the world. Darkwing IS a trained super who could save lives in an emergency and wants to do better. The idea of the Justice System IS both to serve the victims justice and reform the criminals. Mark refused to adjust either his viewpoint(mostly fair) or his actions(wildly immature) in a rapidly escalating situation, instead opting to help escalate it. He's still a teenager with poor emotional control and lacks the experience or nuance to recognize his errors or find any compromise. I lean quite a bit more towards Mark's side, but they both obviously have some fair points. Personally though, at Mark's age I wouldn't have had the restraint to not seriously injure Cecil for the implant. The cascading violations of trust that triggered...oof.

Denver Gray

Team Cecil.

Eric Wallace

yes to the prison part, was exactly what I was thinking "Mark that is the whole point of a decent prison system, rehabilitate people" but I think its kinda the point to show that the supposed heroes like Mark are also hypocritical grey characters who act after certain norms but only when it is comfortable for them.

The writing in this episode was great. Loved the backstory and you understand both sides

Ivan Rasmussen

Sounds great, thanks 🫡πŸ₯‚πŸ₯³

We haven't recorded ep 3 yet. We might get it in before ep 4. Not 100% sure yet. Worst case, probably. πŸ€™

Hey is episode 3 gonna be released with episode 4? Just inquiring Appreciate all the hard work

Dillon

not to mention that the whole point of prison is to help bad people to reform and turn them back into productive members of society, which is exactly what cecil is doing. it's not meant to lock up people forever you have a personal grudge against, like mark seems to think it is.

JHow

yeah, i guess i'm getting too old and jaded to do anything but be on cecils side. for all the talk about grey and questionable morals, that's not what's happening here. i mean what's the whole point of prison? to reform bad people and help them reintegrated into society as better people, isn't it. that's what they are there for. i mean, what even is mark's point? that no one deserves redemption or a second chance and that every villain should just stay locked up forever? that's not justice, that's just him being spiteful because his friend got hurt and him wanting revenge. i guess there's an argument to be made about more reanimen being built -although, as cecil said: they're bodies of volunteer, who had their bodies modified after they died. nobody gets hurt - and him make contingencies against mark, but mark doesn't exactly proof cecil wrong by barging into the pentagon and trying to intimidate him into doing what he wants because of a personal grudge. i dunno, maybe there's something i'm too dumb to see, but all i'm seeing is the supposed "heroes" being self-righteous jerk and the supposed moral grey characters being completely reasonable and justified in their behavior.

JHow

Huh?? Not what im saying. DarkWing and Sinclair are bad people.. but they are useful.. Mark is using his feelings on whats right, but not looking at the bigger picture.. We still use medicines invented by some not so good people in WW2.. should we not have used the that persons scientists and scientific discoveries to find out cures and medication faster?? Id wager not.. as messed up as those people were, their uses were needed.. just like what Cecils doing.. hes using the bad to create good for the world.. an undead army of fallen soldiers and Darkwing who LITERALLY Saved everyone on earth from becoming extinct

Thepuppetmasta

By that logic we should just kill everyone that does something wrong to win the war on crime

Gmoney

Marks in the wrong. You need weapons to win a war.. not feelings and emotion.. war isnt about whats good or bad.. its about what needs to be done.. and using criminals that are strong in said war is correct.. All the teen team kids are using their feelings while the boomers are using logic

Thepuppetmasta

Shoutout to Mason quinn, the og mark and eve shipper lol. It’s one of those situations where you understand both pov. A rock and a hard place imo

Conor Moriarty

I think mark is right. Cecil is in a whole gray area and marks view is black and white

Would you guys ever consider reacting to Mad Men or It’s always sunny in Philadelphia as a tv show reaction?
