I would be willing to take a look. I am a Senior Software Developer that primarily focuses on our websites. Also, a maintainer on a well known frontend component documentation and testing tool, not that it would be very useful for this. I started an extension for syncing a while ago, but I was focused on trying to automatically handle calculating the offset. Hard to make that generic, though. Hopefully manually setting the offset will work well enough, because resync after a pause is frustrating.

Director of product design here (digital products aka apps + websites) - haven’t seen the site, but biggest tips I can give without seeing the site is aim to improve accessibility as much as possible: 1. Make sure text is high enough contrast and meets at least AA WCAG standards. This helps visually impaired users see your content! There are tons of free contrast checkers online, and I recommend perusing the latest WCAG handbook. 2. Alt text for images or videos - helps users who may be using a screen reader access your content. Can also improve SEO. 3. Responsive sites - check your content on mobile/tablet first. I’d wager that the majority of users are accessing your content on these devices, so prioritize them instead of only checking it on desktop. Good luck! Even though there is no casting option I figured out how to cast it to my tv. On your phone (I have an iPhone IDK if that matters) if you open the link in your browser instead of the one Patreon opens, and then screen share your entire phone to your tv, the video auto fits to the tv screen and will cast like any other video with the button does. Hope that makes sense. lol

Id love to help test the extension and website. anytime. the extension idea sounds super fun and intuitive. my only concern is for example when watching penguin with u guys it seemed like HBO cut out the intro previews that were in your guys reactions but not mine because I watched the day after or something, so will this extension take into account something like that where the times are off? like your guys vids had 55mins, mine had 51mins for example.

I use my TV and either my phone or tablet for the reactions. The uncut make it so much easier, but like I said there's no cast function in them and mirroring stops working after a few minutes. Oh well, always need the rain to get the rainbows. 😊

I've recently suffered a minor stroke, I'm in my early 50s, and I have a 30 year career in advertising and PR for global clients in Manhattan agencies. I was very, very lucky that the stroke took very little from my cognitive skillset, but the reality of my new health status is that I now need to pivot to doing consulting work with less stressful deadlines than the Manhattan agency life, and I have 15 years in as an Art Director and then 15 as a Digital Project Manager with grad work in digital comms. I've got the breadth of digital advertising knowledge that all good Project Managers pick up from working with specialists across all disciplines. Helping you out would also help me in my recovery since it lets me figure out what stamina and tolerance for work day productivity. I can pace myself but having someone depending on certain tasks is a real motivator for my work ethic where just "try on your own projects" doesn't quite work yet. Anyway, I'd love to help out however, and I'd love to find out more about your website platform solution, or talk tech on Discord some time with someone willing to talk shop for a bit to help me research good 'see a need fill a need' opportunities as digital support in the Reactor business model.
