Loved La La Land when it was in theaters. It was nice to get your perspectives on it considering it’s not a movie you all would actively seek out, specifically your thoughts on how it ended. Will you guys pretty please watch “Wicked” when it becomes available?

We are tired of Hallmark movie endings. There's gotta be some realistic/tragic movies out there.

The first time I saw this movie I was furious at the ending. I was so annoyed that I haven't rewatched it since. I decided to give it a chance because I figured at least it would be shorter and maybe funnier with you guys. I found that now as an adult, the ending is still awful but beautiful. I see that last song Ryan plays as a piece of art/music that is their perfect love story. for those three minutes, everything turned out perfectly. it's three minutes that encapsulate their hopes, love, fear....and although it didn't work realistically, every time it's played he can live that fantasy, he can meet her there. While that song plays they are still in love. And unfortunately as Oak said, sometimes as an adult you have those relationships that could have been if not for timing. yet, you can't run back to them, but you can harmlessly revisit them for a few minutes in a song. You can sit in the realization that, 'this was real, we were really in love and it may not have worked, but it still created something beautiful'. So like...thanks I guess for making me revisit this heartbreaking movie. Phantom of the Opera or Les Miserables next? pls and thank you.
