The original animatic to the first music video featuring Rain's musical theme, "Little Victories"
My idea for the themes for characters was to have it relate to important chapters, or quotes. The naming of Rain's theme comes from Chapter 30 of the comic, Little Victories. I felt it was a very important chapter since she was able to start HRT. I hope to continue this kind of naming for future character themes, like "A Different Kind of Normal" for Rudy, as an example.
The initial idea was cooked up by Tresenella, a scene from My Neighbor Totoro might come to mind for some. Once it was agreed on the framing, the rest was flushed out from there with the artists involved.
This was our first major production for Rain: The Animated Series, featuring a lot of artistic talent, including some from Jocelyn herself.

Little Victories never fails to put a smile on my face any time I hear it <3 such a beautiful track It's so cool to see the animation built up like this, stage by stage - I've never really understood how animation is made, so it helps put into perspective the time and effort that goes into it!
