Early Access to Vampire Burials

Howdy Patrons,

This week it is my pleasure to present you with early access to my spooky late October video discussing the burial superstitions of vampires.

I hope you all enjoy watching it as much as I did making it.

Thank you again for your support and happy halloween!

All the best,

Milo Rossi

Oh and the burying the wife with the late husband is why I believe (for this one I don’t have evidence, just my experience with how these things work in the slavic superstitious mind) is why they believed men rose from the grave to come back and finish up their family. I believe that slavs early in christianity still had that belief that not getting proper burial (as in wife jot being buried with the husband) was what was keeping the dead husband on this world and not enabling him to move on to the afterlife. On the stuff above there’s sources, but this wife burial is purely my guess

Hey Milo! You might not read this but IDK that we can message you somehow. One important concept on the topic of the revenant. Honestly my source is that I’m Slavic so I read a lot on Slavic pre-Christian era, being since early childhood unhappy with the Christian era. Any way, pre-christianity slavic religions were sun and fire worshipers. We cremated our dead and believed that released the soul from the physical in this world and made it possible to rise to the stars for the afterlife. There were some related burial rights of course. There was also a custom of some tribes to bury the wife with the husband who died. I’m from the Balkans and I see now our culture is still quite full of those pagan beliefs. Actually we often have Christian priests talking against them as superstitions (go figure), but the people are so connected to them that a lot of them just had to be assimilated into christian rituals. Ask any grandma in the village, she’ll tell you priests know sh1t about religious rituals 🤣 If it’s like that now, I can only imagine that in the first few centuries of Christian take over Slavs felt uneasy with not burying their dead. Leaving their earthly bodies not cremated, it would tether the soul to this realm. Unable to pass to the afterlife. There’s a reason why in so many of these stories the body is burned in the end.

Was anyone going to tell me that I had wrong word isolation/insulation in my joke-name or I was going to learn it in another artist comment section when someone told me there. It was in two videos already! 🙈
