I can hardly believe what I’ve managed to do!
Well, if you’re from the 2009 era of The Sims 3, before the release of World Adventures, you definitely know all the things we had to give up to keep moving forward.
It was during this period and with this update that the shadow between floors was broken, but it wasn’t the only thing. The window reflections were never the same again. Although there was a faint reflection, it was far from what it was in the base game. I don’t know why they changed it; I can only speculate.
Maybe it displeased some players, or maybe they had issues with some of the windows in the World Adventures expansion (just like I did, trying to restore the shader but failing). The possibilities are endless.
But honestly... who cares?

Just like when I launched the Get Out Project, I was able to make The Sims 3 incredibly vibrant without any mod script skills, just by tweaking a few ITUNs and XMLs (which many don’t even consider modding), once again, I managed to outsmart that PRO (experienced) side of the community that thinks restoring these windows requires breaking The Sims 3 shader into pieces to put it back together.
Well… you know me, you know that although I’m not particularly skilled, I’m stubborn, patient, and I’ll load my game 300 times if necessary to see my ideas come to life. I don’t give up so easily, especially if I see a spark of success.

The irony here is that to figure out the solution to this problem, I had to fry my brain trying to convert my modular objects to The Sims 2.

When I failed miserably in every way and decided to take a break, I played around with modding in The Sims 3, and suddenly... BAZINGA! I solved a 10-year-old problem just by turning a gear. RIGHT UNDER OUR NOSES, THE WHOLE TIME! I couldn’t believe it. I mean… I could, since I’ve done this before. But with this now?

Haha, honestly, it’s no wonder I go live, showing everything I do and teaching beginners, because I’m sure the revolutions we’re still going to experience in this game will come from people who DON’T EVEN KNOW how to mod or anything YET. New blood brings new things. The old… well, some are experienced and worth exchanging ideas with, but there are others who will just complain and won’t see the infinite ways the world can unfold before them without needing a big, long script.
I wanted to share this story with you because we’re going to make history again, and I am DEEPLY grateful to have your support, encouragement, and engagement with The Sims 3 despite everything.
What I’m doing is for you, for me, and for all of us who love The Sims despite everything.
Soon, I will share this mod and provide more information for both creators and players, to support you in creating and converting glass shaders like the ones you’ve seen above. It’s simple, it’s ridiculous, and even if you have no experience, you’ll be able to do this with any item. I strive in every way to be independent and capable of building what I imagine, and I want to support you, so you won’t have to rely on me or anyone else, because I believe that in this way I can enhance your talent and benefit from it when you decide to share it with the whole community! I’ll see you soon for more updates!
