Patron Update: Story Roadmap (Spring 2025)

Hi again neighbors! I'm back with another of these little updates, which I think I've really enjoyed doing, and as you can see, I plan to continue them. They're just a nice way to be transparent about my plans and anything that may come up in the meantime. Anyways, let's get to it, shall we?

With Runaway's first arc coming to a close (yes, there will be more, but I'll get to that later), I am happy to confirm that the next story that will be starting is indeed one focused on the Stepford Butterflies. It's a bit more episodic, a bit more carefree and fun, and it'll shine a light on the other members of the group besides Nora, the original story's protagonist. That'll be about 3 chapters long.

Following from that will be a 4th of July themed story that I've already written up in advance, just to make sure I don't miss the holiday. It'll be a bit of an anthology story, a longer oneshot with 3 segments each focused on another woman we know and love from Stepford.

After that, I've been planning and plotting out another remake. Runaway only barely won its poll to determine which story got a reboot, and so I've decided that the runner up will get a chance as well! Dear Darling Doctor will be our next longer story, although I'm not sure how many chapters it will clock in at yet. That will start posting immediately after the July 4th story.

Finally, in more vague/farther out plans that are still pretty loosey goosey at the moment, I am still working with clairanette on writing the story of Mya's wedding, it's just that weddings are quite honestly incredibly difficult to write well, and I refuse to post a story that means that much to me until I know it's right. I want it to be perfect, even if it means taking a while with it.

We will also, sometime towards the end of the year I think, be starting a second arc of Runaway! I want there to be enough time between them for other stories to be enjoyed, but I do plan on coming back to the Johnsons so that I can finally explore what happens when Don and Bev bring another girl into the home, and give Molly a younger sister. I teased it way back in the original oneshot, and she did show up in their cameo in All Hallows Eve, but I have an idea for the story itself and I can't wait to write it.
