Runaway In Stepford: Chapter 3
Added 2025-02-26 10:00:01 +0000 UTCOne of the things I've been trying to focus on with this story, and I hope it shows as we go on, is to give each chapter its own unique identity and focus. I don't want chapter 3 to feel the same as chapter 4 or chapter 5 to feel like a retread of chapter 2, so on so forth. I want readers to be able to talk about my work and have their favorite chapters be memorable for a reason. So here we have chapter 3, which I won't spoil here, except to say that I think I did a good job of making it memorable by the end.
I also want to thank my friends who have been beta reading this story for me, as their feedback has been greatly helpful. It's part of why I think this is shaping up to be one of my stronger stories.

Thank you so very much! That is absolutely a theme I kept in mind while I wrote this, and I think that the resolution is one that makes sense (at least to me). I can't wait to share the rest with you all!

I think someone who was abused would certainly be horrified at the (albeit fully consensual (with mind control)) bdsm-like elements of this world, I am interested to see how the family sells this to her later, will all be framed as a misunderstanding, or will that just be frank and say that they're playing by agreed upon rules and it's all consensual
