[Update LE 1.0b][Skyrim SE/LE] Vanargand Animations - Archery

Finally managed to extend the archery animations into the standing archery aswell, hopefully this will make your third person archery experience jitter free and more enjoyable.

While aiming with a bow, the character will now consistently keep facing the same direction while turning or moving in a similar fashion to how they behave with Vanargand sneak archery, let me know what you think!

These animations will replace, while holding a bow, the Vanilla Idle, walk, run, turn left/right, Sprint, draw arrow, drawn arrow idle, drawn arrow walk/turn, arrow release, equip and unequip.

This mod combined with Sneak Archery will cover almost all bow animations, it goes without saying that this shouldn't be used alongside Archery Gameplay Overhaul since they replace mostly the same files.

This is made on top vanilla's behavior while AGO's animations are made specifically for AGO's behavior edits.

Use any mod manager or manually copy the content from your chosen attached file's 'Data' folder into your Skyrim's 'Data' folder.

True Directional Movement is highly recommended.

Much love! :)

Cool Anim <3

I totally recommend downloading some of Enai's overhauls and spells, simple and lightweight. Then afterwards play an Illusionist/Conjurer Archer who summons a Mystic Bound Bow with Conjuration, Empowers it with SoulFire, then uses illusion to create Illusory Arrows that fire out as a barrage into your enemies with each shot. Its still effective as a stealth archer, but it makes a Combat Archer VERY fun.

Haha good to hear! Archery had to be changed, it only took 10 years lol.

Verolevi

I've been making an active effort not to use archery and explore some of the other playstyles. This incredible mod combined with your stealth archery mod has broken my resolve. Time to shoot some arrows I guess.

SO cool!

Daikichi

My pleasure! Haha yeah the forearm shake helps give more weight to the draw.

Verolevi

Absolutely fantastic work! Thanks for the Belt-fastened animations for XPMSSE too <3 Also, the slight forearm shake during drawing really makes it look like you're drawing a heavy bow, which I like.

Mura Casardis

Thank you for including the LE version.

Much appreciated! :)

Verolevi

No worries, enjoy!

Verolevi

Great job, as always.

Thank you very much! My apologies for not watching the video to the end.

I've included a belt fastened version as can be seen in the video (on 2:10), simply check Style Fitting Animations in XPMSE's mcm and select the Frostfall quiver style and you should be good, nothing else is needed for that.

Verolevi

Thank you for these animations! May I ask for Belt-Fastened Quivers compatible animations?
