Set Photos - This Thurs Sketch 20/5

The script is something we could have done before, but the way we tried to film it is hopefully not... We're going for something a lot more cinematic, think 'Alien'.
The silver lining to not going on tour is having extra time to research filming and editing techniques and we want this one to look like a movie, albeit one with a very limited budget!
This one is silly. Felt we should give some light relief after last week! It's an idea myself and Hog have been improvising in the office for about a year, and it's given us many laughs. Its a comedy trope that you may have seen before, but hopefully done in a new and original way about a topic not yet covered.
Hog put together a very funny draft. As always following a script reading, there are some brief notes, ideas, improvisation and laughs, and then.... the graft. You graft for the drafts, that's for sure. I'm of the opinion... that the more discussion over really small details in a script, a word here or there, the better shape the script is in. When we force each other to justify lines, jokes and their position, you very often come up with better alternatives, new lines, clearer direction. However, at some point you just have to go... "its good enough, not perfect, but lets put it on camera!". Everyone loosens up then. The challenge of framing, lighting, and designing a set is new territory, far apart from the serious work of scripting and that's when we usually start messing....
We hope you enjoy it, and that we get close to that cinematic feel we were going for. Pressures on the editor now... gulp.
