You get to see Max getting thrashed and thrown into the dumpster (from his perspective) by the entire footballing world, but then, here, we see his long term relationships paying off in a big way. Have to make some haters to find some lovers, no? Henri would probably say something like that if he could read the doomladen thought process of Max.
