on reread, this: "Get on the fucking pitch!" she yelled, pushing me, then pulling me, then trying to unzip my top. She appeared not to have much practise at removing clothes from grown men. is still very funny

2026-01-28 14:55:37 +0000 UTCAh, Max committing football suicide by means of tinfoil hat is just so him. And I guess flash cars are actually a thing? English is weird. I hope that Max doesn't (but fear that he will) praise Helge for the concussion shenanigans, because head injuries are too serious to fuck around with.

2026-01-27 00:57:13 +0000 UTCHeartwarming show of character that Max can't grudge him it.

2026-01-26 20:10:22 +0000 UTCI prefer the version "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you." ;)

2026-01-26 19:54:42 +0000 UTCI think I'll be happier if it *was* all on Max's head and he becomes a tad bit less paranoid and hot headed going forward.

2026-01-26 19:28:15 +0000 UTCGotta say. I will be really disappointed if there isn't a referee/FA conspiracy at this point. And perfect finisher to the match. Very appropriate.

2026-01-26 19:23:58 +0000 UTCI was a bit harsh on the last chapter. But damn, this is what I was talking about. 10/10 perfect balance of games, football nostalgia (I’ve been to Kenilworth Road a few times and actually live not far from Luton) and youth team / side character development with a done of morals and values.

2026-01-26 19:13:47 +0000 UTC"It's not paranoia if they're really out to get you" - Max Best (probably)
