So all told your estimates, plus Cheb would add up to 90MM at the low end and 110MM at the high, when Chester only has 90MM available and will have a hard time signing players with the relegation clause that is going to be very hard to avoid. Loans could happen though. Squad players that are 5 or 6 deep at the top end of the Premier that could get first team minutes at Chester, and then if there are ridiculous amounts of injuries at the loaning club they could get pulled back in the January transfer window. Or those loan players could get sent back when Max blows up at them for being shit heads. Why didn't Max think about getting loan players to stay in the Premier League, even though odds are they will be shit heads and get thrown in the bin.

2026-01-04 16:22:26 +0000 UTCGreat Chapter, I think these will be the needs for the Prem: GK: Backup and future replacement for 10MM DEF: Need 1 or 2 CB to make sure Chester doesn’t get run over every game. Current players need 1 season to catch up to Prem levels. Good defenders are hard to find and are EXPENSIVE. Chester to add 1 or 2 players here for 30MM -50MM MID: Max can cover while the rest of team catch up. I expect at least Cheb to join Chester since he’s at the prem level already. Maybe add 1 or 2 older players at the end of their career. Chester spends 20MM Att: Hard to see Max buying anyone here. Strikers even slightly closer to Prem levels will cost too much. Maybe see if Foquita can be bought for cheap, but even from Portugal a player will go for at least 50MM; Chester to spend 0 Can’t wait for the playoffs but the PREM arc will be amazing

Other clubs having access will spread that word wider and faster. Plus while he can offer development and game time in a limited capacity, he cant offer the big bucks like other lubs have. He had a player stolen by chelsea recently ? A kid going for 5 million when they have 100 million talent is a big loss for Max.

Not counting the early years before he developed his reputation, he has had tons of success stealing other teams’ players and other teams have had zero success stealing his.

Recruit 33-35 year old misfits, who have near about 150 CA, with 1+1 year contracts. A respectable 15th place finish. Btw, is there a potential Angel redemption arc planned?
