Delightful, emotional, fun. I gobbled this one up like Rufio at an imaginary feast.

2025-01-17 10:51:37 +0000 UTCYeah but it was mostly about the body cameras. I mean more about the refs themselves who have to deal with Best or drama from Best fixtures.

2025-01-16 10:07:35 +0000 UTCHe did a ref pov in the body camera chapter

2025-01-16 04:10:03 +0000 UTCIt has to be written down somewhere in a format Max could one day find and use in his 'memoirs'.

2025-01-15 10:57:37 +0000 UTCAmazing :)

2025-01-15 10:57:01 +0000 UTCA great chapter, Ted! I'm curious, given the variety of lenses for chapters and Max doing one chapter as a referee way back, have you considered a referee POV chapter yet?
Droman
2025-01-15 07:52:13 +0000 UTCHeartwarming! Whose a good author? Yes you are!

2025-01-14 20:31:43 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed the Dan Bradford/Max talk, “the child raises the man”. It’s not meant to be as deep as I’m taking it but it struck a chord in me and I’d like to share. In my opinion, what measures the greatness of a man is his decisions. The world is constantly in a state of chaos, and it takes constant conscious effort to be the rock your family and friends need, an example for the people who look up to you. Show a strong face in the shadows of adversity, the maturity and wisdom to solve problems, accountability to admit faults, the self-discipline to keep your standards high, and 100 other things just as important, but it all starts and ends with you.

2025-01-14 18:15:43 +0000 UTC"wild energy but he kept just enough to glare." Is weirdly broken in my phone between kept and jest, but looks fine on the computer. Same thing with "Best gets quiet before looking at Porto." An odd split between before and looking on the phone that isn't there on the computer. Must be my issue.

2025-01-14 17:50:00 +0000 UTCI'm really happy for the lads and Chester. The icing on the cake has icing. The cherry on the top has icing. It's a frosting ice age.

2025-01-14 17:28:13 +0000 UTCBeth is lucky they didn't all try to bang a gong while they had a chance. That's the risk you take going into the men's dressing room at half-time. Luck? Well, they are gentlemen, so no.

2025-01-14 17:24:32 +0000 UTCThere's no limits.

2025-01-14 17:20:17 +0000 UTCIt's grammatically correct - 'will him to miss' is essentially they're thinking, praying, hoping, trying to make it happen with their minds
Felix Skinner
2025-01-14 17:06:48 +0000 UTCI will scroll back and find them in the next hour or so. I am fairly sure one of them was the word "quiet" cut in half over two lines.

2025-01-14 16:28:35 +0000 UTCNo. Will as a main verb. 'try to make it happen by the power of your thoughts'

2025-01-14 16:27:02 +0000 UTCI loved this chapter, I can't wait for the epilogue, it really felt like the end of an era but also new beginnings. I can't wait to see where you'll take us

2025-01-14 16:25:47 +0000 UTC> Time slows. Thirty thousand people will him to miss. -is it supposed to be "will want him to miss?"

2025-01-14 15:26:20 +0000 UTCLovely stuff. A worthy ending of the story arc. Not sure if it is just my phone, but I noticed 2 places where a sentence or word would unnaturally cut off and start again on the next line .

2025-01-14 14:58:42 +0000 UTCOf course, this sets up next year to be the awkward adolescence (for the club if not necessarily for the teams)

2025-01-14 14:47:04 +0000 UTCThis really feels like the closing of a time in life for Max, for Benny and Tyson, for Beth, and for Chester as a whole. Max isn't fully grown up, but the boys are men, the women are women (and are going to dominate next year after some Pascal growing pains), the men (after three straight promotions!) are starting to play with the big boys, and the club is growing up - stadium, staff, training ground, more professional all around.
