Heroes and Villains: A Disparity in ASMR

Today’s topic for the Topi Update is something I’m very passionate about. The topic is the disparity of heroes and villains in Asmr roleplay.

First of all, disparity means a difference in level or treatment, especially one that is seen as unfair” according to the dictionary, I had to check and make sure I was right lol 😅 words can be confused sometimes so there’s your vocabulary lesson for today

Now to the point.

There is not a lot of superhero x villain asmr in the first place. (Compared to every other topic in asmr) And when there is a superhero x villain, the majority of the time, the listener is the hero, and the VAST majority of the time, the listener is the weaker one.

This has been something I’ve noticed for a while. Usually, the listener is the weaker, more submissive character in any asmr roleplay story. There are a couple where the listener is the powerful one, but those videos are the exception to the rule.

This is highlighted in the superhero/villain category. The listener is usually tied up/captured by the villain, or fighting the villain and losing. The speaker is usually more powerful than the listener.

Why is this? I don’t know. But I’m trying to change that with some of my roleplay asmr. I do have a couple videos where the listener is the hero, but they quickly change to the villain side. I fully intend on doing more audios with a villain or stronger hero as the listener, and I’ll always be doing more audios where the listener is more powerful.

Thanks for coming to my rant, hope you have a good day! Don’t forget to stay hydrated and don’t forget to water your plants, they need water too. 😊🌱
