August Special: Tapia And Beck

Picture this: 25 years in the future, the good citizens of the world have bravely fought back against the forces of bigotry and abolished fascism, opening up a new era of prosperity and discovery for all peoples and species. In a planetary society ruled by art and science, the denizens of Earth turn their eager eyes to exploration and appreciation of the vast universe.

Tapia and Beck lost track of one another after high school and for some tumultuous years thereafter, but were reunited with their mutual involvement in the reinvigorated space program. It wasn't long before Professors Barrios and Stomp joined intellectual forces to help accelerate Earth's comprehension of safe and effective space travel. It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to deduce that the pair still had strong feelings for one another, and they would eventually start a family of their own (don't sit there an tell me that a society that can gad about in space can't arrange for same-sex couples to have each other's biological children if they're so inclined).

Despite having kids a bit later in life, Beck and Tapia nevertheless produced three fine sons. Their compromise gave the lads Beck's surname, whilst Tapia got to name them. Monkberry and Moon Stomp are twins: Moon, a tapir calf, is bold and wildly intelligent, hoping to become an astronaut as soon as he's as big and strong as Mama Beck. Monkberry, our young Montbéliarde bull, is a gentle fellow who loves /cats/ and /dogs/ as did his parents before him; he wishes to go into veterinary medicine someday. Little Pistachio Stomp, his moms' second Montbéliarde calf, is just a baby and has yet to tell me of his deep seated dreams and aspirations. But I'm sure they kick ass!

Let's fix up this hot sick mess of a planet so we can get behind WwF Good Future, everybody!!
