Dolph Day Afternoon

Another Lop suggestion! A suggestion of cetaceans!

I grew up near scenic Presque Isle. One of the points on the peninsula was Kohler Beach, aka Beach 11, a shallow stretch of lake where parents often took their little kids to get used to the water. There may not be any dolphins in the real Lake Erie, but that won't stop Dolph and Rudy this somewhat overcast summer day!

Rudolpho Stenella Sr. is a mild mannered mammal and a gentle and caring dad. He and his son Rudy get along swimmingly, and Dolph even has a respectful relationship with his ex, Ike. Ike and Dolph broke up because the former came out as a man, and while Dolph was perfectly happy being married to what he thought was a tomboyish woman, he's straight. Perhaps their divorce was for the best, as Dolph is a sensitive soul and Ike is sort of a blowhard. Despite this, the duo co-parent well, and each would part the ocean for Rudy.

Luckily, we aren't all Piggy Lee and Sam. Some people do manage to put their egos aside when their relationship splits, especially for the good of the kiddos.

I have always been concerned that if the two had stayed together, Ike would have made Dolph's life miserable. Ike is a lot, and Dolph is mild mannered to a fault. They're much better off as friends and co-parents, and at least they had the maturity to realize that.

I'm so late, but this is so cute. And it's good to see a healthy post marriage relationship. Ike can be a bit much, I think so i'm glad they both actively parent Rudy and can be friends at least.

This is very cute. :) And thank you so much for having Dolph and Ike breaking up amicably. My own biological mother and father divorced in 1981 when they realized they were better as friends.
