This comic isn't a stealth jab at pet dogs or the owners who love them. I adore dogs (and wish I had a few!). I'm just mind-blown at the sheer number of people online and IRL who aggressively hate cats. How could anyone hate any animal, much less a pet? Animals are the true innocents of our planet, and cats and dogs especially deserve all of our affection and devotion. Malice towards animals often exposes malice towards humans, and no, you don't get a pass from me if you hate snakes or spiders. Dial back the arduous contempt, folks! My gosh.

Even WITHIN the fandoms there was contention. I was a staunch Michelangelo fan in a world of Raphael stans. Didn't we know Raph and Mikey were bros who loved each other??
