Christmas Gifts: Your Fave Furry?

The presents are no doubt torn open in a hurricane of wrapping paper scraps and the day drinking has begun, so let's play a party game that's not ELF Monopoly! I'll post a face reveal at the $5 tier if a bunch of you tell me which When We Fly character(s) resonates best with you. I'll even respond to my own inquiry: I'm sort of a Valerie-Itzel fusion. I wish I was as cool as Clem or Mantiski or Icy, but while I might hope to be a Sailor Uranus, I'm a Sailor Jupiter all day long.

Merry Christmas, darlings!

At last, a worthy opponent!

Archibald, that's ANYBODY in any of my hobbies or sports. With the possible exception of Deitrich (who just walks out and BEATS you, no matter who you are) Rurik (same) or Tim (once made the semifinals of a cardio-heavy tournament on what was later revealed to be 20% heart function-and won it the next year after heart surgery and cardiac rehab.), we all run our mouths and challenge each other. Sometimes we can back it, others we can't. But that's where all the stories come from that start with "So, no shit, there I was...."

Athena's Owl

*Laughs and pulls out a rack of kilts I bought, and wore during summers the last 4-6 years while going "Still Cis Though (IYKYK)" (and still wear when it's warm), and a pair of lifting gloves because nothing ruins a good caber toss like getting splinters in your hands. "You....you realize I spent 4 years at Edinboro University, right Red? Bring it on."

Athena's Owl

I was abused almost as badly as Kittiwake. It's why I appreciate her. For me it just came from different sources, but abuse is abuse. I *get* her.

Archibald Mirenopteryx

Red strikes me as the kind of character that would challenge *Sylia* to a caber tossing contest, even though the whaleotter and her antigravity belt is quite capable of putting the caber into low Earth orbit. Red's mouth sometimes writes checks her body can't cash. πŸ˜‚

Archibald Mirenopteryx

Red will go to therapy if you'll go caber tossing with her this weekend. She told me she would. Val won't go; she has noodle arms.

This little piggy is a stunner!

Birds of a feather gotta stick together!

Having been your friend for many a year, I can see it.

As much as I cherish my problematic fave Red, I intentionally made her an experiment in masculinity, as far as a cis girl can go. She's confident, financially successful, a prime extrovert, and most of all, she's in love with her own body. The fact that she's hard for a lot of women to connect with is kind of the point. I still adore her though, even though I'm a Val all day.

Granted!

Must Love Frogs

See, I think you've got me there. Certainly there's no way every character in this story isn't "me" in some way, because I made 'em!

I'm more of a Red than anything else, though part of me doesn't want to be. Much like Red, people look to me to deal with things and solve problems. Though I have a much healthier attitude toward going to therapy than Red does, I also enjoy my rattan (armored combat) steel (fencing and axe/knife throwing) and iron (gym) therapy as much or more than ACTUAL therapy. Part of me wonders if Red ALSO wants someone to take care of them from time to time, but can't bring themselves to surrender that much control over the situation to BE taken care of by someone else, for fear that somewhere, an important ball would be dropped, creating additional chaos, that they would then have to take back control and solve....AGAIN. But maybe that's just my experience, which is one of the MANY reasons I go to THERAPY.

For me, I think it's Kittiwake. She's a survivor of abuse and yet still manages to be cheerful and supportive, the glue that holds the Throuple together. And I try to follow her lead with the Flock, no matter how broken I am. Though Val is a very close second. Arch himself adores Valerie and will do all he can to help her feel better about herself. The snep deserves it. Meow, meow, meow. For Sylia, it's a no-brainer - Mantiski. She **adores** children, and Mantiski's fearlessness, tolerance and her heart being in such a good place? She won one of the largest hearts she ever could imagine. Mantiski walking right up to something the size of Godzilla and booping her on the snoot? Priceless. Sylia would say Mantiski may be a Tiny, but her heart is bigger than the biggest mel (male) Halavahdon... and that makes her a treasure to all of St. Charles.

Archibald Mirenopteryx

This may be way off, but I think I’m somewhere between Clem and Itzel

Hard one to choose... the best thing about WwF is how almost every character has something relatable... thinking of the one who resonates most... I mean, the Scots girl in me has to think about resident Red and her own pigheadedness when it comes to admitting downfalls and trying to bite off more than she can chew ...But, if I think about it, the closest I've ever felt to one of your characters has to be Val, 'Return of Catharsis Cat', that moment of, 'I can't move', was the most real and connected I ever felt to one of your characters knowing that moment when it strikes, so Val it is

Jasmine Smith

I don't think there's any WWF character that makes me go "oh, it's me!" But they all have such care put into their stories that there's plenty to empathize with for each of them. (Unless you put a Princess Luna expy into WWF and I've forgotten)

Tineid

Wouldn't Jupiter be more Fury than furry?

Good news, Piggy Sue is a terrible cook! That's Stick's job.

Must Love Frogs

AWWW GODS HOW DO I CHOOSE???? Very likely Piggy Sue. Except that I can't cook. But vibe wise, otherwise.

Rachel Terwilliger

I find myself resonating with Valerie way too much, haha! But for my fav I’d have to say Kittiwake, which I suppose is also something Valerie would say, go figure! Also Merry Christmas to you and your family Kae!

TammyTerra

That's a hard one. Clem, I suppose.

Badguy101

This makes me happy bc I LOVE that little bug

Must Love Frogs

Merry Christmas to you and Liz, Kae. :) Mantiski resonates with me quite nicely.
