What do you say to a nice kid who's never had a real holiday before? Alsesta errs on the side of factual honesty. I would hardly tell you how to talk to your kids about Santa, as I always enjoyed the merry myth as a tadpole. I held onto belief in Christmas magic longer than you'd expect; having younger siblings, I felt like I was in on the bit. However, this is almost certainly the first time Clem has ever received a present for Christmas, and where was the jolly old yeti in years past? Good thing THE POLAR EXPRESS is decades away from confusing and distressing the movie-going youth who apparently didn't believe hard enough! Seriously though, I love that fever dream of a film, especially when accompanied by a gummi or two.

2024-12-13 02:08:17 +0000 UTCConsidering that taking on Clem almost cost Alesta everything, at least when it came to her love, the quiet pain she must have felt hearing Clem say that must have been razor sharp. To know that Clem's childhood to that point was so...fucked up that she couldn't even think Santa cared for her. I think Alsesta and Franzie's unique gifts and being effectively thrown into parenthood when nether sought it has resulted in one heck of a sow. I do hope that though Piggy Sue decided on not giving natural birth to a piglet of their own, they might adopt, as they would be baller parents.
