I don't mind spoiling more of the endgame for you beloved Patrons; Ike's arc wraps up with him marrying Pod and providing Rudy with a baby brother. No, the blessed event wasn't planned, but the guys decided to go ahead with it. Ike bottoms twice in his whole life and look what happens!
One of my favorite books as a kid was the original War Of The Worlds, and I love the 70s rock opera even more (seriously, it's fire). My prime cut is the warship Thunderchild's valiant, doomed mission to destroy the invading Martians, and theatre dads Ike and Pod would breech at the chance to make tribute. Thunderchild, being the offspring of a hunky elephant AND blue whale, is gonna be a big lad. Doting older brother Rudy calls him TC, and you can too.
I haven't decided on TC's raison d'etre yet, if he becomes a song and dance mammal like his old mans or what. When I know you'll know!
