Many people seem to think that LGBTQ folks only came into existence in very recent years, but that could not be further from the truth. I myself have only just now started to learn about our amazing, triumphant, and often heartbreaking history. I very strongly recommend that queer folks and their allies take this time to research those who have come before us.
