a trip recap…

pals! strangers! subscribers! heya. thanks for your patience while i’ve regrouped from my travels. they were wonderful, so so wonderful, and i can’t wait to tell you about them. i’m making the next couple weeks of posts a bit of a deep dive into my rope adventures during the past month abroad. here’s a lil summary:

- i landed in paris, and immediatly the next day took a speed train to brussels for a private small group workshop. this was my first time teaching abroad (woah). it was exciting, challenging, and inspiring.

-gab (who just happened to be in paris the same time as me) and i spent an afternoon with marie sauvage at her cozy paris apartment. marie was sweet enough to let us tie in her beautiful rope room— my fingers were itching to get into some rope, as it’d been three whole days since my last tie ;)

-after nearly a week of much needed and very restful alone time on the beaches of mallorca, i headed to milan, meeting anna. we spent the weekend in a workshop by yagami ren at yugen studio.

-we then had two days of private lessons with fede kirigami and marta tenshiko, who now have become my most consistent teachers (which is downright crazy if i think about it too hard)

-i then headed to barcelona, with foley, for a week of social rope madness. we had a performance and a day long workshop of very hot partials at espacionos, followed by an outdoor rope jam about an hour outside of the city, led by rope jam barcelona. dont worry, we also went to the beach *several* times, and ate enough tapas to last a lifetime

-foley and i then made our way to berlin, where proper scheduling chaos ensued (what’s new). we had an evening class of sadistic floor rope, a performance, and another day long workshop of very hot partials at kor, followed by several rope jams around the city.

-and at last, i headed home to endure the worst jet lag of my life, and here we are. stay tuned for many many photos and thoughts and feelings from this big giant adventure of mine
